Chapter 1

Bella

Tomorrow is supposed to be the biggest day of my life, I am 21 years old and I will attend the annual ball for the first time. My mom is overjoyed and has been making me try on outfits for the last 3 hours. We finally settle on a black, off shoulder and body con gown. To be honest dressing up is not really my thing, I am the daughter of a gamma and the best female warrior in my pack.

I wake up to my mom shouting and telling me breakfast is ready. I go down to see my parents and brother waiting for me. Noah is 3 years older to me and standing at 6 feet with a muscular frame we could not look more different. He still hasn't found his mate yet and as a powerful werewolf he is getting restless. Even though he is a gamma he gives of the auro of a beta or an alpha. But more on that later.

We all enjoy a nice breakfast together before I quickly shower and change my clothes.

Looking at myself in the mirror I actually like how I look. At 5'2" I am shorter then most werewolves and also have many more curves, this dress accentuates those curves so well! All ready and decked up I go down.

My parents say there goodbyes to the both of us. I get teary knowing that if I find my mate I might not be back home tonight but my parents re-assure me and tell me to trust the moon goddess, whatever she has planned for me will be for the best.

Today every unmated werewolf of age from every pack will be at the ball. It's supposed to be a chance to get to let loose and relax and maybe meet our mate as well.

I suddenly here a girl screaming and running to us. Oh god Tahlia.. She and my brother used to date for a while before he finally saw what everyone else sees, that she is just after his rank and title. She hugs my brother and then looks at me passing a sarcastic comment, "I almost didn't recognise you without mud on your clothes." That is enough to tick my brother off. As most werewolves he is extremely protective of his family and he rushes us away from her saying a quick bye while saying "She doesn't know what she is talking about, you look gorgeous". I nod knowing very well thay no matter what happens tonight I have a loving family to come to whenever I need.

I see my best friend and run to her ! Maya has always been the gorgeous, though she isn't 21 she will turn 21 tonight at midnight. which means she gets to come with us! She runs and we both start jumping like school girls, Noah just stares at us. Maya and him exchange a quick hello before he goes off to his friends.

"Damn your brother looks hot" is all Maya says while staring ay him as he walks away. She has had a thing for my brother since the day we first met. I just make a face at her Ewww.

We get into the limos and head on to the ball, its a long journey and takes almost 4 hours to reach! By the time we arrive it's night fall and I am famished, haven't had anything since breakfast.
