These damn alpha meetings are so long. Today is the annual ball. I don't have time for this. Most of the alphas around the table have already found their mate so they are no hurry. I am 27 years old and I need to find my Luna.. Though with every passing year it seems to be even more unlikely I will ever find her..

I have been going to this ball for 6 years. Loads of fun times with some girls but still haven't found her. If this continues I will be forced to mate with someone just to keep my pack strong. I have been the alpha since I was 18 years old and my parents were killed by a rogues. Running a pack at such a young age was hard enough but not having my mate for so long has been harder on me.

"Alpha Lucian are you listening? "

My chain of thought is broken by Alpha Steve.

"Yes Alpha Steve, I do agree we need to get the rogues under control. They seem to be forming groups and living in pack like structures now. Attacking and taking what they want. "

These rogues have become a pain. They attack whom they want and take what they want. No rules nothing.

They attacked my parents when they were on a drive. 31 against 2 . Both my parents were strong, that is however too large a number especially when you are caught off guard. The rogues didnt even leave a body for me to burry.

I hunted each and every one of them down and killed them slowly and painfully. My dad had built this pack to 2000+ wolves and he was a strict alpha but everyone loved him

I wanted to do right by him and for that I really needed to find my mate.

Luckily the meeting came to end and I was able to leave, walking down the stairs to the main hall I could smell something amazing. Strawberries and Lilies. My wolf Ax started shouting MATE!!

I looked around trying to find her, that is when I saw her . The most beautiful girl ever. But my Beta Jack had his hands on her and my wolf took over. Shouting. MINE.

I rushed to her and took her from his arms, burying my face in her neck. God she smelled so good. All of a sudden though I could feel her shiver. I didnt want her to be scared of me.

Though I was surprised that she was shivering at all. Her aura was extremely powerful. I could sense she was as strong and had a strong wolf.

"What is your name?"

"Bella, Alpha"

"Hello Bella my beautiful mate, I am Lucian"

I didn't like that she called me Alpha but I will talk to her about it later, right now I wanted to get out of here and be alone with Bella. My Bella.

After calming my wolf down and letting Jack off the hook I wanted to leave but she wanted to say goodbye to her brother and best friend.

I stayed right next to her the whole time. I heard what her brother said. Even though as an Alpha I hated the fact that he though he could challenge me I liked that he was protecting Bella. So I let it slide.

Once she was done. I grabbed her and took her to my car. Finally alone with my mate.
