Getting home after a night like this was a relieve I have to remind Austin we are not young anymore My body feels it was run over by a bus I was about to grab a shower when the door bell ring who could it be at this time it’s too early for visitors hope it’s not Austin putting my clothes back on went to check to see it might be .Got to the door an old lay was standing there with a basket in her hands “ hi,can I help you?” She point her shaking finger “are you Matthew Salvatore?”Stepping outside “ yes and you are ?” Before she could answer I heard a little noise it was coming from her basket I’m thinking what the hell is this woman wants “ I’m Nina Dior you got my daughter pregnant “ oh this must be a joke one the guys are playing with me “ lady I don’t know you so how could I get your daughter pregnant?” Without saying anything she pull out a picture of a beautiful red head i immediately knew who she was talking about that night bought a smile to my face clearing my throat I said “ wait I know I spend the night with her but that don’t me im the father of her baby” shaking her head she say” yes my daughter finds out she was pregnant 3 months after meeting you” moving away from her “ no the baby could be anyone,how did you find me anyway?” Putting the basket on the floor she took the baby out “ my daughter hire a PI to find you give her your name that night “ pushing my hands through my hair” what do you want me to do with the baby?” She handed me the baby “ take care of her you have full custody and everything “ I drop on the stairs staring at her “ why can’t your daughter take care of her “ with tears in her eyes she say” my daughter die during labor from complications, and my husband and I are not strong enough to take care of her all we want are visitation right” hearing this I reach out to her hugging her “ I’m sorry about your daughter “ giving me some paper ,“ take care of her my number and her birth certificate are in the envelope with everything else you need“ she handing me the tiny baby I look down at her she got her mother’s red hair “ I’m sorry you had to find out that way, I have to go now call me if you anything “ looking at the woman who just change my life “ it’s okay again I’m sorry about your daughter” weaving goodbye I realize I didn’t even invited her inside I guess with the situation I’m still in shock when the heat force to get back in my apartment. Putting the baby in the middle of my bed I need help who can I call I know Eric is In The office there’s no way he will come here that settled grabbing my phone i call Austin with no answer I knew he’s still sleeping away is drunk a** I have no choice but to call Eric so I did.

“ tell me something good man ?” Eric said when he pick up the phone “ I need your help now can you come back home ?” Most of have heard the desperation in my voice “ I’ll be there in 20” hanging up the phone pull a chair next to the bed waiting for Eric to show I must’ve fall asleep the next thing I know my door bell is ringing, checking to see if the noise wakes up the baby saw that she was still sleeping I went to open the door. “So, what’s the problem? “ mentioned for him to follow me I show the baby he looked at me and looked at the baby” Matt what did you do man kidnap a baby ?” Pulling him back outside “ WHAT!!!! Nooo that’s my baby in there” Sitting on the cough he said “ what did you expect me to say wait a f***g minute what do you mean that’s your baby when did you get a baby?” Sitting next to him with my head between my legs “ this morning a woman drop her off ?” The baby started to cry we rush into the bedroom “ did she eat anything “ asking Eric ,” I guess she’s been sleeping since I got her” rocking the baby back and forth “ check to see if there’s anything in there I found a bottle already made I give it to him he feeds her looking at him doing this makes me realize I’m well over head “ I can’t do this she looks like she belong in your arms “ putting the baby back on the bed after feeding burping her ” you’ll get use to it years of practice with my nieces that’s why I know what I’m doing you need to get some help from Mrs Butler good thing we leave in the same building “,with hope in my eyes I say “I know you really think she’ll help” laughing he said “ yeah not before pulling your ears, you need to get some baby stuff and baby prof your apartment” still in disbelief I don’t even know where to begin on what he is saying he most have seen the panic in my face “ I’m going to get Mrs Butler and she’ll help until I get back alright “ I could only nod. A few minutes later Eric came back with Mrs Butler “ what is it that I hear you have a baby?” With shame I look at floor “ yes ma’am find out this morning “ walking by me she went into the bedroom she say “gets dress we going shopping for the baby “ I quickly get dress when I came back I saw Eric was still there “ you can go back to work looks like She and I got this “ getting up he say “ alright man I’ll see you later “ with that I walked him to the door close it took a minute sliding myself on the floor thinking “ I don’t got s***t.”
