Who would’ve thought that I'd be sitting here with this beautiful view of the water and tall buildings behind me a year ago? I didn’t think I would be strong enough to take over the firm from my father. I’m happy I took the time to get myself together before I took over. A year ago, I had the most beautiful high school sweetheart in my arms. I thought my life was complete. Everything was going well until that faithful night when everything came crashing around me.

“ My long-time girlfriend made reservations at this amazing restaurant. It’s been a month since we made the reservation. It’s one of those restaurants. We were looking forward to it. As soon as she opens the door, a guy pulls her towards him and they were kissing right there like I wasn’t there. I cleared my throat. That seemed to work. “ Who are you?” I asked.

I turned my cold glare at her “ so now I’m your ex last night. You couldn’t wait to have my babies now I’m your ex”,

What I understand is I have been dating damn selfish women for all these years and I didn’t even know it.

I got so lost in my memory that I didn’t even hear my best friend calling me until he was shaking the chair so damn hard “ what the hell man ?”,

” What the hell I’ve been calling your name for 5 mins while you were on Lala land,” said Austin. I got on my feet.

I guess he's right. We walked to my assistant for some files. “ why are you here Austin?” It wouldn’t have anything to do with my assistant now, would it?”

If looks could kill, I would have been 6ft under from the way he was looking at me with a slap on my back, he got on the elevator and left. With a smile, I think the mission is complete. If I can get Austin to run out of here without hitting on my assistant, then my work here is done. It’s an accomplishment to get this guy to run away from anyone.
