Chapter 3: Connection

In the underworld, the empress was still investigating the phenomenon while Hei Xie locked himself in his study room.
Min became worried at his master.
His master locked himself for seven days inside without eating anything. While inside the room the man tried to contact his spirit beast but to no avail, something is intercepting them.
Meanwhile, in the east wing of the palace, Hei Xie's siblings were gathered. Four gorgeous celestial beings were discussing on a roundtable. Two princes and two princesses were still trying to pinpoint the aura they have felt.
"Brother Lan is it really true that sister-in-law has yet to give birth?" asks Princess Hei Lei ask. Her brother nodded in confirmation.
"And besides I don't want a boy he would become my rival," he scoffed causing his siblings to look pathetically at him.
"Brother Mu maybe one of the prostitutes or maids you touch has become pregnant?" enthusiastically Princess Hei Fei asks which made her earn a smack on her head.
"Sorry sister I have to knock some sense out of you because I think your intelligence has turned that of an animal," Prince Mu casually said.
"You dare hit this princess watch when I'll tell father you smacked me!" she said furiously.
"Go ahead and I'll tell father you sneaked outside to steal a soul!," he retorted as they were both sending sparks to each other. The door opened and Hei Xie appeared, his face was as gorgeous as his siblings but what made him stand out was his cold violet eyes.
"Oh, brother Xie you came," Hei Fei welcomed.
"Gather all your soldiers at the barracks," he ordered then left in a glimpse.
"What do you think is going on?" Hei Mu asks but all he got was an idiotic gaze at his siblings.
"Puhlease I think your intelligence is quite lower than mine," Hei Fei retorted.
"How can we also know?!"
The soldiers were gathered and started to question each other what was going on, upon the appearance of the royal family they all formed a perfect line.
"Listen up all of you," Hei Xie coldly started, all the soldiers trembled for this young master was the most ruthless of them all.
"In our law, unauthorized deity entering our realm will meet the punishment of going to the sixth hell. Those who are an accomplice of such action shall ruthlessly be blind and shall be thrown in the burning hellfire. And lastly, those who plot against any royalty shall be executed without a proper burial," His every word sent shivers to everyone.
"Whew, someone must have played brother Xie," Hei Lei whistled. Lifting his hand a soldier was lifted and was struggling from his grasp.
"So you are the traitor," Hei Xie said with finality. "Speak."
The soldier knew he would die if he won't submit."A heavenly being appeared in the gate holding a limping body on her. Asking for the direction, of course, I give her. Suddenly she manipulated me. I started moving on my own, we lead the girl to Prince Mu's room she put an essence stick which I believe was an aphrodisiac," the soldier started to gasp.
Hearing this the Hei siblings were trembling in anger. Audacious! Such god was so shameless trying to plot against them. Hei Xei silently put the soldier down then left which made his siblings puzzled.
"Good. Good. Then definitely that was mine," he mumbled. Hei Lei who he passed through heard his mumble she looks at his jaw dropped.
"That deity was stupid, Hei Xie and I switched rooms for the past hundred years already," Hei Mu said then they all left.
"Then they were aiming at you? Hmm, such poor taste of that god," Hei Fei scoffed as they started rambling again.
Three years pass...
In the island, dozing for a moment Little Blue disrupted her sleep.
"What happened?!" she squeaked hurriedly she went out only to see Hua Yiqie dangling in the mouth of little blue. The horse was quite mad for a reason.
"Qieqie what is it now?" she held her forehead knowing that his son for the nth time did another bad deed. She was stressed, maybe this trait of his was from his dog father.
"Mom so beautiful don't punish this little one. I have just only avenged you from those bullies," he said in puppy eyes. Wriggling from Little Blue's bite to get down and pour me another sugar-coated compliment. Aye, this son was worse than her, a black belly!
"Little blue," she looked at the horse. The horse understood what she meant, letting go of the child, he left to give them some alone time.
"Qieqie, what did you do?" she asks again.
The boy hesitated for a moment."Mama who is my father? The children at the village were bullying me saying that I am a child of out of a wedlock. Mama, I want to see father," he sobbed pleading.
Sighing, she held his face and told him softly.
"Qieqie what did mama told you, your father is long dead! Because he was a rotten man!"
'Daringly forcing me to do the deed with him what a brute!'
"Then mama doesn't love father anymore did that rotten fox chief the one you fancy! But I don't like him! And father is still alive, I can still feel it!"
The little one angrily stomps his feet.
"Qieqie how do you know your father is alive?"repeating what she heard hoping she was wrong.
"I feel his presence even though we're apart," he wipes his tears making her tremble in anxiety.
"Qieqie mama was only joking, of course, I love you when you feel father's presence getting close to us you must tell mama!"
If that is the case she can only use her son as a detector so they could flee from the grasp of that man!
She fumbled his son's hair-"Ouch!"
She looks at her bleeding finger than look at her son's head. Horns! Tiny horns! Is that man a goat! Then I was taken advantage of a goat!
"Mama are you alright did my horns hurt you? I just grew them last week," he smiled proudly.
"No, what wonderful horns you have," she said no matter if this one grew out two heads or a tail he is still her son she loves him unconditionally.
"Qieqie I think its time we return to mama's hometown," she said as she carried her child and they went inside the hut.
