Chapter-2

"So you're awake," He said. I pulled the blanket over myself, my eyes widened with shock at him. "W...who are you? Where am I???" "I'm an angel... that sounds ridiculous," he mumbled. "ARE YOU KIDDING ME?" I jumped up and ran to the bedroom door. When I opened it, there was a huge abyss in front of me. The man was sitting there, grinning and watching me. "You'd better calm down a bit..." I blinked and looked at him. "Am I dead?"I touched my arms and face to control myself . I wasn't a ghost or anything; I was alive. The man was struggling to keep from laughing. "Not yet." I stared at him in shock. "Oh my God, how did I die?" I asked, looking at him. The way he lifted his head from the papers in his hand and looked at me like I was stupid. That annoyed me. He looked back at the paper in his hand. "Natalie Mayer, that is, you're 27 years old." "How do you know that? Who are you? Now give me a real answer." He stood up and showed me the papers in his hand, and at that moment, the papers turned to ash. My eyes widened, and I took a step back, shocked. "There was a mistake in the system." He said calmly. "Now you'll go back, don't worry, or do..." he said, and left the room through the door that had previously opened onto the cliff. As he left, I saw him enter the living room. The door that had previously opened onto the cliff now opened onto a huge living room. I quietly followed him. He sat down on the sofa, turned to me, and snapped his fingers. Suddenly, I felt dizzy, and I heard a buzzing in my ears. When I came to, I was at my desk in the company, even writing something. He had said I would forget, but I hadn't forgotten anything. Was I hallucinating? I immediately looked around; only our team leader, Mr. Patric, was there. "Um, Mr. Patric, can I ask you something?" He looked up from his computer and glanced at me. "Yes?" One eyebrow raised. "Um, how long have I been here...?" "Well, you haven't exactly just arrived." I immediately looked at the clock; it was 8 PM. Oh no, I could have sworn it was 2 PM just a moment ago. "Are you alright?" Mr. Patrice asked. "Yes, I'm fine. I'm leaving now. Have a good day at work. Goodbye," I blurted all that out and wanted to get away from there immediately. What was really going on in my head? I definitely need to see a doctor. I grabbed my coat and left. It was cold, and I was lost in thought as I walked towards the bus stop. I took my phone out of my pocket and checked my messages. Reynolds had sent me three messages. I rolled my eyes in annoyance and opened the message: "I love you, my darling." "When will we see each other?" "I'll make up for what happened." This i***t's fabricated scenario really pissed me off, so I blocked his number. Of course, before blocking him, I left a little note saying, "You pray I haven't killed you, you idiot." After all, I had the right to do that. Then I put the phone back in my pocket and continued on my way. After all the weirdness of today, getting a message from this i***t was really annoying. As I walked, looking at my shoes, I noticed the man in expensive shoes standing in front of me, and I looked up. "You?" I said. "Hmm, I think we have a problem." It was the man I had seen before. "You said I would forget." "Really? I don't think so." "Am I hallucinating? Look, I will go to the doctor, leave me alone..." "Should I be afraid of doctors?" he said, shaking his head. "I think so, because you're a hallucination, you should be afraid of getting lost," I said, and walked past him and continued on my way. "So you're that sure I'm a hallucination, huh?" he said, stepping in front of me again. I rolled my eyes and looked at him. "If you're not, you're probably a pervert, and you kidnapped me at 2 A.M, and you must have given me some kind of drug. Yes, that makes more sense now. I'll call the police," I said, taking out my phone, and the moment I unlocked the screen, my phone turned off by itself. I narrowed my eyes and looked at him. He rolled his eyes and took a deep breath. "No pervert would bother with you, don't worry." "You people think highly of yourselves, but unfortunately, your human capacity won't save you right now." At that moment, all the streetlights went out at once, and everyone around me froze. When I turned around...
