Billy was brought into the monitor room with Raven. The Chief sat in front of the dimly lit monitor- there was no other light in the room except from what came from the room. El Jefe (the Chief) turned his chair towards them in such a manner that they couldn’t recognize his face or his dress- the light from the monitors fell completely on his back which left his front side in the dark. Billy understood that he didn’t want to reveal his face to them.
“Sit down- both of you-” said the Chief.
Both of them sat on the chairs behind them.
“I want you to see how your old comrade is doing right now- look!” he said and clicked a button on his remote.
The monitor screens showed Johnathan trapped in a dense forest, looking for a way out.
