Julian and Victor drove the boy they had picked up halfway straight back to 88 Highland Drive.
Inside, Julian stripped the boy of his foul-smelling clothes, tossed them by the door, and then bent down to splash cold water on his face to wake himself up.
“What’s your plan for the kid? Gonna let him live here with you forever?” Victor asked casually.
Julian wiped his face with a towel and shook his head. “Where would I find the time for that? Once he’s better, I’ll ask Caleb if he can find some small jobs for him in the city. As long as he can survive, that’s enough...”
