Chapter 42

Alice is currently at the grocery store with Brian, Mira needs to her family today because of some urgent issues, that's why Alice decided to go to the grocery store because her refrigerator is almost empty.

Brian was behave as he was sitting inside the cart and when Alice pushes it, he was always mesmerized by it.

Alice was busy choosing between plain cereal or honey coated cereal when suddenly Brian squealed and shouted,

"Dadda!"

Her eyes immediately widens and looked at the direction Brian was looking at, and he was right Dawin was also inside the grocery store, he was also pushing a cart at the same time.

Why would he do the groceries though? Alice internally thought.

Dawin heard Brian and was also shocked to see Alice and Brian there.

"Bub," Dawin whispers, he was holding himself from going to Brian cause he knows Alice will not like it.

Alice on the other hand decided to ignore Dawin and she was about to turn the cart when Brian who was still calling Dawin, cried.

Alice was shocked also Dawin.

"Dadda!" Brian keeps sobbing and Alice stared at her son for a while before sighing, she nods and when Dawin saw that, he immediately went to Brian and scoop him in his arms.

Brian was now sniffling and Dawin was still rubbing his back.

Alice rolled her eyes seeing Dawin doing those acts.

"Hold him for a while, I'll be back to get him," Alice said emotionless.

Dawin sigh sadly and nodded his head.

Alice went away to go to another section while Dawin finally smiled seeing Brian hugging him tightly.

"Miss me?" Dawin asks.

Fortunately Brian understand those words and nodded his head immediately.

Dawin smiled ang hugged Brian more.

"Dadda?" Brian suddenly said.

"Yes bub?"

"House."

Dawin was confused for a second but then he understand it after. He sigh and looked at Brian.

Well he can't say he and Alice fought so now Brian is staying of course with Alice. Even though he wanted the two to go back in their home, he still can't. Alice won't like it, the way she acted in day of the incident, Dawin knows it's hard to bring her back in their home.

Dawin was also hurt on the words Alice said to him, he didn't thought Alice would say those things to him.

Dawin was about to put Brian on the cart when Alice walks to them while her face was still emotionless.

She stopped pushing the cart and walked towards the two.

"Give him to me," she says with no emotions.

"No mumma!" Brian suddenly retorts.

Alice's eyes widen and immediately looked at Brian.

"Bub, your mumma will get you okay? Don't be mad," Dawin says softly to Brian.

Alice scoffs and looked at Dawin.

"What did you tell Brian that he acted like this?"

Dawin halts and instantly looked at Alice.

"What? I didn't say anything," Dawin replied.

Alice rolled her eyes and grab Brian.

"He's my son, not yours," Alice says while staring deep in Dawin's eyes.

Dawin clenched his hands and looked at his side immediately.

Alice didn't wait for a reply as she went away while Brian was back inside the cart.

Dawin closed his eyes and sigh deeply, yeah, Alice is absolutely right, Dawin has no rights towards Brian, he was only his father as Brian called him Dadda. But if we looked on the reality, Dawin is not even blood related to Brian, also the adoption papers, Alice is the only person who have the only rights towards Brian and not him, not the others.

It was late in the night already and Brian is already sleeping on his room with Mira sleeping also there but on another bed.

Alice is now inside her room, while watching the city lights in her windows.

She was deep in her thoughts when she remembered something.

"Yeah right I need to call Ashley."

She grabbed her phone beside her bed search in the contacts, luckily Ashley's number was still there.

After a few rings the call was answered.

"Hello, who is this?" Ashley asks on the other line.

Alice smiled and answered, "hello Ashley, it's me AC, sorry I called in this hour."

Ashley on the other hand was surprised.

"No miss Ac! It's okay! And but the way why did you call me?"

"Ashley where is your parents now?"

"Oh they are in their room, sleeping why though?"

"I'll tell you later, but now how are you? Did your parents now spends time with you?"

Alice heard Ashley sigh on the other line, "no miss Ac, actually they got home late and directly went to their room, without even greeting me."

"Ashley it's okay, maybe both we're tired that's why."

"But miss Ac, they always do that, are they that tired that they can't even greet their daughter?"

"I don't know Ashley and hopefully that won't happen anymore so I need to see your parents personally."

"What?!" Ashley whispered shouted then continued, "please don't tell my parents that I told you about this!" Ashley was almost pleading.

Alice laugh a little, "don't worry kiddo, it's about something else so don't worry, and that's what I wanted to tell you earlier, please tell your parents that I want to talk to them personally."

Ashley actually understand her intention and smiled.

"Yeah of course miss Ac, I'll ask them, then I will text you if when will the both of them are free to meet you."

A day later and Alice received a text from Ashley that her parents will both be available later evening so Alice replied and asks if dinner meeting will be possible which Ashley replied yes.

Alice is changing her clothes fastly as she was now late for the meeting with the Castro's.

Well wondered why Alice got late? Well Brian was crying hysterically and was just finding his Dadda, luckily after his crying session he fell asleep.

After 20 minutes, she went to the parking lot and immediately went to her car and drives of going to the restaurant.

She arrived there and parked her car.

She entered the restaurant and immediately see Mr. And Mrs. Castro.

She walked near them and instantly bowed her head.

"I'm super duper sorry for being late, I got some problem in the house that's why."

Mrs. Castro smile and stands up," no it's okay, we just also got here a while ago and also, you look beautiful miss Ac."

Alice shaked her head and looked at the both of them.

"Please call me Alice, and thank you," she says while smiling.

"Alice? What a gorgeous name, sorry we both didn't know your real name because you know, always busy and got no time for television," Mr. Castro said.

Alice smiled and sat down on the chair.

"Actually my name Alice is not very known to the public so it's okay, I understand."

Mrs. Castro then looked at Alice.

"So Alice, why did you wanted to meet us personally?"

Alice sigh and looked at both Mr. And Mrs. Castro.

"It's actually about your missing son."
