Chapter 40

A day have passed and Alice still didn't contact anyone from Dawin's side or Dawin himself.

She was now currently cooking dinner, while Mira was the one who was taking care of Brian, Mira insist to cook cause she was the maid and nanny, but Alice said she wanted to cook.

She was busy setting the plates when her phone suddenly rings.

"Who is it now?" She asks herself.

But when she looked at the caller Id, she smiled at it was her mother who was calling.

"Mom?"

"Alice we're are you right now? I've got to tell you something and this is important," her mom says on the other line.

Alice sigh, there's no way she will keep a secret on her mother, so she decided she will tell her everything when she will get here.

"I'm in my apartment in Hera hill mom."

There was a silence on the other line before her mother spoke again.

"Something happened right? That's why you are there?"

"Yes your right and the explanation, you will get it after you will arrive here."

"Well if you say so, now I'm gonna hung up, bye honey!"

Alice smiled, "bye mom and also don't forget to buy ice cream for your grandson."

Jia laugh and also agreed.

After thirty minutes the doorbell rung and Alice immediately ran going to the door and opened it while smiling brightly.

"Mom," she says while smiling brightly.

"You miss me huh? Of course you will miss me, who wouldn't?" Jia retorts.

Alice laugh and closed the door after her mom entered.

"By the way mom, let's talk in my room after we eat."

"Yeah your right, I'm also hungry so please lead the way."

Alice and Jia went towards the kitchen.

"Wait here mom I'm gonna call Mira and Brian."

"Wait why mura didn't cook?"

"I want to cook for today so here it is."

After talking to her mom, she went towards Brian's room, she opened the door and sigh when she saw Brian sleeping on the bed while Mira was sleeping on the couch.

"They must be tired," she whispers, she then closed the door gently and went back to the kitchen.

"Where are they?" Jia asks.

"Sleeping, maybe got tired."

Jia nodded and Alice also sat on the chair and both starts eating.

"Why not tell me here?" Jia says after breaking the silence.

"Huh?" Alice was first confused but she realize it immediately.

"Can I?"

"Yes you must, and also please don't hesitate to call me when something will happen."

Alice smiled and nodded her head.

"So talk."

That's when Alice explained everything that happened, Jia was shock and also Alice told her mother that Dawin tried to explain but she didn't as she doesn't want to.

She also included the part where she told Dawin the sentence where she knows it obviously hurts Dawin.

Jia sigh and holds Alice hands.

"Why didn't you let him explain?" She asks softly, cause she doesn't want to trigger Alice.

"I can listen to his explanations but I don't want to, I don't know why but I just can't and mom I hope you can understand my part."

"Of course hon, I understand you, but what you told Dawin obviously was painful, next time honey please think before you say something hm?"

Alice stared at her mom and nodded her head.

"I know I must apologize for that part, but I'm still not ready to face him, what I've heard it, it surely made a wound in my heart, and I'm scared, I really didn't thought he will say those thing behind my back."

Jia sighs and looked at Alice.

"But honey, what if it was not you he was talking at? It's not that I'm teaming him up because obviously I'm in your side always. But really what if?"

Alice was also wondering the same thing, what if she really did just over act on it, what if Dawin was really not talking about her.

"I don't know mom, but for now I wanna still stay here in my apartment. I miss this home, this was my home for almost 4 years," she said while smiling a little.

There was silence for a while when Alice then remembered something.

"Wait mom, you said you will say something important to me? What is it?" She asks.

Jia smiled and asks Alice to get her bag in the living room, Alice agreed and went to the living room and came back shortly.

"What is it though?" Alice asks curiously.

Jia opened her bag and grabbed a document and gave it to Alice.

"Me and Michael are finally divorced."

Alice halts and immediately reads the file.

She looked at her mother and instantly tackled her in a hug.

"Mom! This is a great news! You finally cut the ties with that bastard!"

Jia slaps Alice shoulder playfully.

"Don't call your father bastard," she says.

But Alice glared at her and she also glared back and after some seconds both laughed and hug each other again.

"I'm finally back to being Jia Gomez a single beautiful, elegant,--

"Stop, stop I don't wanna hear you praising your self," Alice says while jokingly covering her ears.

Jia pinch her stomach and Alice laughed.

"By the way mom, how about me and Jeremy, we both are still Anderson though."

"That, we can't change that I don't know if that is possible cause I'm not into laws but Anderson is a great surname, just don't remember where you got it, okay?"

Alice sigh and patted her mom's shoulder.

"I'm not the only i***t here."

1 week have passed and Alice finished her drama shooting finally, the shooting ended yesterday and also the actor and actress of the drama had a small celebration with the producers, directors and staff.

Dawin on the other hand, busied himself more in his company, he mostly stayed over night at his office and Seb was worried of him but he can't do anything because Dawin is just a stubborn person.

The others know that Dawin's schedule is not that quite busy as Seb informed them in the GC Pia created for them.

Alice, Jia and Jeremy was also included on that GC but unfortunately Alice left the group the day after she left Dawin in their house.

Also Dawin did some rules and told Seb about it, first is, if he will be having a client or investors or business partner, they should not bring their family members if not necessary and only the secretary is allowed.

Second is, one Dawin will meet them, they will only solely talk and focus on business, no chit chat about their personal lives.

Third is, if someone wants a talk with him, he or she should have a proper appointment coming from Seb or else, talking with him will be impossible.

When Seb got to know about those three, he mentally face palmed, and realize why didn't Dawin do this before, but as they say, when the incident already happened, that is when you will also realize everything, and that was Dawin right now.

Seb told Pia about it as obviously, he can't keep his mouth shut when it comes to Pia, it was like he was born to tell Pia everything he knows.

When Pia discovered it, she just laugh but also at the same time, she pitied her brother for being like this, he was like a remote CEO, well that was she thought to Dawin.

It was still morning and Alice who was given a short break after her shooting is now sitting on her living room with her private investigator.

"Unfortunately Alice, I didn't recovered the cctv footage years ago but, I personally visited the orphanage and asks about seb's info, at first they declined saying it is for the privacy but I decided to tell them my intention, luckily the sisters agreed after and told me they still have the clothes Seb wears when he was found outside the orphanage.

And Alice this whole plan of us, I think it will be successful."

Alice looked at the investigator and frowns.

"Why?"

"Because when they let me see Seb's clothes they also told me the reason why they call Seb on his current name right now.

And that's because they found a handkerchief inside the pocket of Seb's pants.

The handkerchief has a name written on it, and the name was Sebastian Castro."

Alice gasp, "you took a picture of it right?"

The investigator nodded his head and opened his phone.

"Here this is it."

Alice looked at the phone.

"Please send me this."

"And also Alice."

"Yes?"

"I think we need to inform Seb about this all, he has the right to know this."

Alice sigh and stared at the picture of the handkerchief.

"I'll do that, maybe later but I'm nervous for his reaction."

"By the way Alice, is not that I'm also investigating you but why are you doing this all?"

Alice laugh at his first sentence but then smiled after.

"Because I treat Seb as my brother, when I got to know bout his story, I realize I should be treating him as my family, I want to help Seb cause I know, he also wants to see his family, I can always see in his eyes the eagerness the Longines whenever I saw him."

"Well you are a good person Alice, and I really hope Seb will finally find his family."

"Yeah I really hope so too," Alice murmurs.

The investigator left already and Alice decided to call Seb and tell him that she wanted to have a talk with him this evening.
