Chapter 16

Before the ship was drown in the sea.

"Love, can we move carefully to that side so we are a little near them? Just hold the railing tighly and carefully so we won't fall," Dawin said calmly.

Alice nodded and both started moving carefully in sync. When they are almost near the side, suddenly the waves got stronger and bigger that almost resulted the ship to flip over and both Alice and Dawin accidentally let go of the railings and both fall to the other side of the ship as the ship is now almost flipping over.

Dawin groaned in pain while Alice was not hurt at all as Dawin hold her protectively in his arms.

"Dawin look!" Alice said while pointing into something.

When Dawin saw it, it was a pyrotechnic. He groaned in pained and looked at Alice.

"For us to go to them we need to jump in the sea," Dawin said while panting heavily.

"What?! Are you crazy win?! We'll die if we do that, you know I'm scared of deep oceans."

Dawin nods.

"I know, I know that's why trust me on this okay? Hold me tightly and don't let go, no matter what happens," Dawin said helplessly, they have no other choice but to jump in the sea cause if not, they will both die, as the ship is also submerging more and more to the deep ocean.

"Please, can we find another way Dawin?!"

Dawin shook his head.

"You'll experience scuba again."

Alice looked at him dumbfounded.

"Are you kidding me win?! Scuba?!"

"Look love, there is no other way, than to jump in the sea."

"But Win, the waves is moving violently, I-i can't take it!"

Dawin didn't answer, but instead he hugged Alice very tightly and suddenly, Alice jolts when Dawin jumped to the sea with her.

Now both are under the sea and Dawin let go of Alice from hugging her tightly and instead he hold her arms instantly.

Alice knows she need to swim, she of course knows how to swim but she is always scared, and that is what also happened in Boracay.

She paddle using her feet along side Dawin, both we're still in under water as they can't swim going up, as the waves become more violent.

Both didn't notice that there is a scrap behind them and when Dawin paddled his feet, he accidentally hit the scrap, resulting for it to move and goes directly at his back.

He groaned in pained and accidentally let go of Alice's hands.

When Alice felt Dawin's hand freed from her, she hurriedly tried to swim upwards, and luckily she did, but suddenly a heavy metal hit her back very harshly that resulted for her to sob out.

"Win! Where are you?!"

Dawin on the other hand is still groaning in pain from under water, he also feels that he is out of breath that's why he fastly swam up wards.

And when he successfully did, he instantly shouted Alice's name.

"Alice! Alice! Where are you?! Love!"

But before he could swim, he was hit by a strong violent wave that resulted for him to go under water again.

Alice was trying her best not to go again in under water, she roamed her eyes everywhere, when her eyes widen when she saw a wooden plywood that was still floating.

She hurriedly swim there and holds the plywood tightly.

Dawin swam again but he suddenly hit his head with a rubber thing. He tried to escaped it and when he had, he saw a unused life boat just in front of him, he hurriedly holds it and again shouted Alice's name.

"Alice!"

Alice jolts when she heard her name being called.

Using the plywood she used it as her floater and instantly swim to the voice she have just heard.

"Dawin!"

Dawin also heard it and when he saw Alice, he instantly swam to her, not forgetting to drag the life boat he saw earlier.

When he was near Alice, he hurriedly swam to her and hold her hands.

"Love, come on! Hold the boat, faster!"

Alice nodded and holds it instantly.

"We need to swim far away from the ship, if not we will get hurt cause it's almost flipping upside down."

Alice only nods, she was too tired because she didn't also notice earlier that her back was scratch by a metal, she feels the pain but she doesn't know it was bleeding badly.

Dawin suddenly holds Alice waist and Alice looked at her confusingly.

"You ride first in the boat," he lifted up Alice and when he was done on it, he also carry himself going to the boat.

Luckily the boat is brand new and the engine is not broken.

Dawin opened it and started to drive the boat away from the ship.

"Dawin, we need to go to others," Alice said but in a weak way.

Dawin noticed it and holds Alice.

"No we can't Alice, it's very dangerous if we go to the south part of the ship, the waves are still violent."

Alice only nods while closing her eyes tightly, but seconds after she shouts.

"Love?! What happened?!"

Dawin was still hissing every now and then because of the stinging sensation in his back but he didn't care as Alice was still shouting.

"H-hurts."

Dawin looked at her confusingly but he halts when he saw a big scratch on Alice back, it was deep wound and it was still bleeding badly.

"W-were did you get this Alice?!"

"Earlier, maybe, it just hurts."

Dawin sigh but he remembered earlier the jacket he gave to Alice ealier, Alice before the disaster happened she strip the jacket from her upper body and tied it in his lower half.

Luckily it was still there.

"Alice, can you stand up a little bit?"

Alice just nods to tired to answer Dawin.

Dawin hurriedly untie the jacket from Alice's waist and he let Alice wear it.

The waves was still the same, violent, the storm is still there, the ship is almost nowhere to be found and Dawin sigh sadly when he didn't saw any other life boat so it really means the others left a while ago.

Dawin hugged Alice who is now shivering, and Dawin cursed mentally when the rain started to pour heavily.

"Can this be more worse?!" Dawin frustratingly said.

Alice didn't said anything but she snuggled more to Dawin's broad chest and she sigh in content.

Dawin started the engine again after more minutes of driving the boat, Dawin halts when he saw coconut tree, even thought it's very dark, he still can see the leaves, so he change the boat's direction going to that specific tree and after 10 minutes, he sigh, thanking the above as he saw an island.

He stop the engine and he also realize Alice was unconscious.

He sigh for a hundred time, it was still raining heavily and it looks like it won't stop any minute.

He carry Alice bridal style and put her to under a coconut tree.

Then he walk again to the boat and drag it to the land, he doesn't want to lose this boat in case the weather will get better tomorrow.

When he was done, he goes again to Alice and cupped her cheeks.

"It's us again," Dawin sat beside an unconscious Alice and he brings Alice body close to her.

The weather was still worse and Dawin was thinking about Pia and the others.

His sister, he doesn't know if she's okay, even though he doesn't show it, but he love Pia so much as she was his only sister and the one who always protect Dawin.

Dawin prayed to the gods to make Pia and others safe.

Pia, Jeremy, Cassy and the others we're still in the ocean but the weather is now more better compared earlier.

Maybe because they have traveled far from the storm surge.

Half of the people in 2 boats have brought their phones, including the captain.

The captain grabs his phone from his pocket and his eyes widen when he saw a signal available on his phone.

He instantly pressed the contact of seoul, Marine head quarters and send a message.

He send through text that they need to locate his GPS in an instant and the other reasons why.

After 5 minutes he got an reply instantly and he was shocked when he discovered that they are very near in busan and they already sent people to fetch them through a bigger boat.

After 30 minutes all of them saw a bigger boat and all of them sigh when they realized it was the rescuer team.

They we're transferred one by one to the bigger boat and when all of them we're successfully transfered they again travel going to Busan.

25 minutes later all of them arrived in Busan International Port and there was a First aid team waiting for them.

Pia, Jeremy and Cassy didn't talk ever since they saw the ship sink under water.

They don't know where in the world is Alice and Dawin, are they safe? are they okay?

When the captain message the seoul head quarters earlier, the senior captain who is in seoul also, called Lucas Marquez.

Lucas who is in seoul, when he discovered what happened he dropped the phone in the floor, he shouted her wife's name and Mae was so shocked when he saw his husband on the floor.

She asked what happened and Lucas told her what the senior captain said.

Lucas didn't think twice and called his secretary to prepare a chopper in instant.

The secretary wanted to know what happened but he first did what Lucas said to him.

Both get ready with their things and Mae called Alice's mom, Oliver and Jin and told them what happened.

Mae said if they want to come with them with a chopper going to Busan they need to move their a*s off immediately.

Alice's mom was with Brian so she hurriedly prepare both of their things and she drives off going to the building where the chopper will land off.

Same thing also happened to Oliver, Lisa and Jin.

When all of them saw each other to the company's building they hurriedly go to the roof top.

After 10 minutes all of them traveled going to Busan.

Alice stirred on her sleep when she heard a loud sound of a heavy rain. She check her wrist and she sigh when she still found her water proof watch which is still in her wrist.

She saw the time and it was 4 am. The pain in her back is still there but it was almost bearable compared earlier.

She tried to stand up but she halts when she felt a strong arms around her.

She realized Dawin was hugging her tightly and Dawin was still asleep.

Alice would blush now if they are more in a better place but now? In front of her is still a worse weather? No, maybe next time.

Alice freed her self from Dawin and she successfully did and then she stands up.

Luckily the rain suddenly stops, but the weather was still bad.

Alice decided to sleep again as it was still dark and they don't have any flashlight.

She put her head on Dawin shoulders while staring into dark ocean ahead her, minutes later she doze off to her dream land again.

Pia, Jeremy and cassy is still with the other staff in a big hall which is located in the port.

"Pia, cassy, how about my sister and Dawin?" Jeremy suddenly ask.

Pia looked at him and suddenly cried. Jeremy widen his eyes but Cassy was just staring into nothing.

Jeremy was about to comfort Pia when suddenly the big door in the hall suddenly opens.

"Pia!? Dawin?!"

The staff, senior captain and the captain became tense when Lucas mentioned Dawin.

But all of their eyes widen when Alice's mom, Dawin's mom was just behind Dawin.

The senior captain was called by the security that's why he excuse himself first.

When Lucas saw Pia, he directly run into her direction.

"Pia are you okay?are you hurt?Where is Dawin, why can't I see him, Alice too? Where is she?"

Pia didn't answer rather she looks at the back of her father to see Brian looking at her while smiling cutely, Pia can't take it anymore and sobbed hardly.

Mae comes in front of her and cupped her cheeks.

"Honey why are you crying, is there something wrong?" Mae asks a little nervous.

Jia on the other hand goes to Jeremy and hugged him.

"Are you okay?" Jeremy just nods.

"Pia, I'm asking you something, where is your brother and sister?"

"D-dad please find them!" When Lucas heard it he froze.

Oliver, Jin and Lisa now sits in front of Pia.

"Why are you saying that?" Jin asks.

Before Pia could answer, the captain of the ship walks to their direction with a guilty face.

"Mr. Marquez," Lucas face the captain, but he was not smiling.

"Where is my other two children?"

The captain sigh, "I'm sorry to say this, Mr. And Mrs. Marquez and also Mrs. Anderson but you son and daughter was not with us when we evacuated to the life boat, when we all gather in the main hall of the ship, Sir Dawin and Mam Alice was not present. The storm surge in that area is still there right now so that's why we can't search for them at this moment. And Sir Lucas also the ship was now merge in to the deep ocean, because of the violent waves there, the ship flipped over and also resulted for it to drown to the ocean."

Lucas was frozen all the time, while Mae was sobbing, Jia was was hugging Brian tightly. Lisa was hugging Oliver tightly while Jin was frozen just like Lucas.

"No! M-my son, my daughter!" Mae shouted.

Lucas hugged Mae tightly.

Jin held the captain's collar who is taken back by his action.

"Why the f**k did you travel?! Huh?! I know you must know that there is a storm surge in your route, but you still did it!" Jin was going to punch the captain but Oliver hurriedly held him and drag him away from the captain.

"To tell you all the truth, I know there will be a storm surge in our way but when I informed the senior captain about it, h-he shouted on me and also threatened me, he wants to still continue the departure because MQ Incorporation will pay in a big amount."

Oliver widen his eyes, he was the one who personally talked to the senior captain about hiring a ship for the team, but t-this happened?

"Where is that f*****g Captain?!" Oliver suddenly shouts.

Right on time the door suddenly opens revealing the said senior captain who is walking towards them while smiling.

"Sir Marquez, what a great pleasure--" The senior captain didn't finish his sentence when Lucas punch his face hardly.

"You Fucktard!"

5:30 a.m

Dawim stirred on his sleep when he noticed a light ahead of him.

He adjust his vision and his eyes widen when he realize what happened hours earlier.

'What the f**k?!' He thought.

He gets up but his eyes widen when he heard a thud behind him.

Then he saw Alice groaning in pain as her head hit the ground.

That's when it hits Dawin that Alice is leaning on to his shoulder.

"Alice I'm sorry I forgot!" Dawin said apologetically.

Alice finally opened her eyes and looked at the surroundings.

She realize the Storm has finally stopped as there was a sun rise already and the dark cloud was now gone and it was changed by a orange hue of clouds.

"Where are we?" Alice ask while getting up.

"Actually I don't know? You must maybe remember what happened yesterday right?"

Alice nods but when she tried to get the jacket out from her body suddenly she jolted up.

"Why? Why?"

Then Dawin remembered Alice's wound from her back.

"No, don't remove it, remember your wound, it's better if it'll be covered, I'll treat that later, but for now we need to find a shelter."

Alice just nods and started walking around the sand.

Dawin was just watching her actions.

She was confused, this island, it seems so familiar, she was roaming her eyes everywhere when she halts.

"What happened?" Dawin asks her worriedly.

'This can't be! Is faith playing with me?! Like really?' Alice thought while still staring in a path way she saw, which is undeniably clean.

"Win?" Alice suddenly said.

Dawin went near her, "what happened why are you like that?"

"D-do you believe in miracles?"

"Huh?" Dawin is ultimately confused, now they are lost in an island and Alice is talking about miracles?

"Alice what are you trying to imply huh? We still need to find a shelter and foods."

Alice looked at him and laugh hyrestically.

Now Dawin is scared, why is she laughing, did someone posses her body when they are still sleeping, or when her back was wounded did a bad spirit goes inside it? Why is she laughing, for f**k sake they are lost in an unhabitual island but there she is still laughing.

"A-alice, a-are y-you o-okay, y-you? d-did someone p-posses you?"

Alice stopped laughing and instantly glared at Dawin.

Now there's no denial, Dawin was scared to the core, one minute Alice was confused, then next she was laughing madly, then next glaring.

Alice wanted to laugh again at Dawin's face, it's first time after 5 years to see him like this, scared like an i***t. But Alice? She was relief, really maybe the god save the both of them and really in this island?

Dawin was slowly stepping backwards when his eyes bulge out from what Alice have just said.

"Win! This island! I own this!"

'Is this a kind of a joke, cause if it is, it's not funny,' Dawin thought.

"Your joking right?"

Who would believe that, your plan is to travel to jeju island for business mater, when your in the ship, suddenly there is a storm surge which resulted in accident, you tried to save yourself and luckily you did, but you lost your self in an unknown island, and now Alice was claiming that this island is owned by her?

"No win, this island is near Jeju, I brought it after two years when I became a famous, just like Brian's matter, no one knows about this, this should be my safe place, I last came here before I didn't met Brian, but when I met him, time was tight and visiting here is almost impossible."

"B-but how come we did just really survive in a strom surge and came here?" Dawin ask while still processing everything what Alice have just said.

"I told you, maybe it's a miracle or maybe faith, I don't know?"

Dawin sigh and went near Alice again.

"So your not possessed right?"

Alice glared at him and slap his shoulder.

"The f**k bro, of course not? Or maybe?"

"Did you just called me Bro? And maybe?"

Alice snickered but she ran fastly when Dawin went to tickle her but became unsuccessful.

"Yah! Brat!"

Both of them are laughing early in the morning, sunrise witness the smile on their faces, both forget everything that have happened before, the important thing is both of them is together, no worry about everything. Maybe this will be the new start for a new journey or this will become the new start for a disaster.
