Charlotte called Cyrina to come to a boutique where she usually gets clothes from her shopper.
She got dressed in a pair of jeans, grabbed her bag, and wore natural makeup. She didn't want to look so attractive as she was not in the mood for that.
Soon after she arrived at the store, she called her friend to come pick her up as she wasn't familiar with anywhere.
They went shopping for some things Cyrina would be needing since she had just got to Broadmoor Seattle.
Charlotte was helping Cyrina pick out stuff when she saw a cute dress she felt would be cute on her.
Do you like it? Charlotte said. Let's go to the fitting room so you can try it on.
They picked up the dress with other clothes they selected to go check it out in the dressing room.
Soon they were out, she went to the cashier to pay. Someone said in a tone a bit lower than loud, it's sold out, you can't have it!
Charlotte already had ick all over her body as she said it had been sold out. Why is it still out for sale?
The boutique draper said aggressively in a high-pitched tone it is expensive and a commoner can't afford it. Her jaw dropped in shock.
A tall masculine man came to the draper immediately and whispered," My master said you should pack all the versions of the dress for her.
They reacted in shock as she started boxing the latest brand of dress for her. She knew who the master was. The CEO of the Lumex corporation. No one dares to offend the Baileys.
Cyrina was already embarrassed by everything that happened as she went straight to the restroom to get herself back.
She never knew the draper was already packing the clothes for her.
Meanwhile, Williams sat in a corner watching her and Charlotte all along. He followed her to the restroom and opened the door to the female restroom.
He saw her sobbing, his heart ached in pain. She hasn't noticed anybody yet.
Not until she looked in the mirror to check if her eyes were swollen. She saw a tall image standing beside the door.
Her heart beat as she started breathing rapidly. He said Miss Jones turned and saw it was the man from the night she thought she had already escaped from.
Her eyelids widened as she wondered how he got to know her name.
He said, do you want to be picked for the audition? I will help you out and pay you hugely if only you help me out.
She was excited and nervous at the same time as she said with a shaking voice "what am I supposed to do for you and how much will you be paying me?"
He smiled slightly as he said" I will pay a million dollars and help you get the audition if you marry me.
She looked at him indifferently immediately after he had married. She furrowed her brows.
He saw the hesitation on her face and he said we would be getting married for only four months. After that you can go your way. I just need to prove to my father that I found a wife and I am married.
Hearing four months she took relief. She knew she needed the audition desperately and she needed money to help her father who needed to undergo surgery.
She said to him," I will marry you. Williams smirked and gave her his information card which his number was on. He got her number also. He asked her to call him tomorrow so they could have lunch together and discuss it better.
Then he left. She adjusted herself from the way she looked when she cried and headed back to the boutique to find Charlotte.
She was surprised as Charlotte was with all of the dresses, and she told her Mr anonymous got them for her.
She knew it was him.
She got an email from William.
She quickly got dressed and left for brunch with him.
Are you ready for the contract? Said Williams.
Without hesitation, yes I am. He passed a slit to her to accept her signature for their contact.
We would be going to a church for registration during the weekend, he said solemnly.
On a Friday morning, she started dressing to get ready for lunch with Williams. Suddenly, he called her
What's up?
Are you ready? Where are you? Can I come and pick you up?
She told him the address and hung up on him.
He soon arrived and he picked her up, and they went to a fancy restaurant for lunch.
He gestured for her to sit opposite him. He gave her the menu to choose what she wanted from it. She refused to pick anything from the menu. She just wanted to discuss it and go.
She still refused to place an order. He wondered if she ever spoke.
He said, to place an order for at least one drink. This time around she didn't fall into silence. She talked in a low voice, let's get into the event of the day.
Finally, she ordered something. She didn't eat much, just ate some soup.
They headed to a small religious church across the countryside. While walking around, he held her hand as he raised a corner of his mouth and smiled slightly.
She took a breath, and he said to her with all their protocol and just signed. She nodded in agreement as they walked into the building.
The Church usher directed them to a place to sit. They saw two other couples who were waiting for their turn.
A woman smiled at her husband, looking towards Williams and Cyrina's direction. She murmured to her husband they looked perfect together. I bet their children will be beautiful.
Soon the Bishop called on them and the other couples.
It was their turn. The Bishop enquired about their names and proceeded. He said, Cyrina Jones, you agree that this man will be your husband in good health and bad health, in lack and need", she responded and said yes.
They agreed and pledged to all the marriage vows and signed the marriage certificate of which a copy was given to them and a copy was kept with the church register.
The couples were asked to kiss. Williams smiled wholeheartedly as he kissed her. Other couples around clapped for them.
While walking out of the building, they met an old woman who kept on blessing their marriage. Cyrina hated the attention they were getting so much. She knew it was not because of her, it was because of Williams. He was so breathtaking she had to accept it.
She went back to the apartment, and she met Charlotte.
You're on break from work? she asked confusingly.
I should be asking you. Have you got the audition already? I thought the results would take a few weeks. Charlotte asked, looking confused.
No, I went to get my marriage certificate.
Marriage? How, from where, and when explain to me.
She didn't know how to explain, she couldn't tell her they had something for just a night and she was already marrying him. She would look like the dumbest person.
The room broke into silence as she said nothing to her.
Charlotte said in a concerned tone," tell me it is a joke you don't even have a boyfriend. The last time I remember you talking about a guy was during college. Tell me who are you married to?
This time she knew she needed to say something.
She said I got married.
Charlotte stared at her in confusion.
I am not married to him, it is an agreement between us. He asked me to get married to him for four months, which he needed to prove to his parents and he would help me get my audition and pay me handsomely.
That's a good deal, right? She asked
Charlotte sneered. Marriage contract? I thought you were coming for an audition and to get an apartment. What about all that?
Men are a luxury, not a necessity, she said.
Charlotte, I am not getting married to him for life. I am just going to pose as his wife for four months, then I get my money. That's all.
Okay if that's the case.
The house agent got you a house so I came back early to follow you so we could check it out. I didn't call because I felt you would be around since you were new and didn't know where to go.
Surprisingly, you were not around.
Get dressed. I will get a ride to come pick us up.
She went to have a bath and a dress, as she couldn't wear what she was putting on to go and check out a house, she would look so serious.
She changed into casual clothes and they left. They got to where the agent was.He took them to the first place she didn't like the apartment.
They went to the next. She loved it. She said I would take this and it's a bit close to your place.
Charlotte smiled as she said yes.
