His father, Alpha Nolan, had stepped out of the car; a beast of a man. His stature, massive with muscles bulging from every part of him and his dominance seemed to roll off of him - everyone could tell he was completely an Alpha male.

I remember Luna Selia joining him, standing beside him as he put his arm around her waist and she was telling him something, their eyes locked on each others but then would glance to us for a second and then flit to the car. Their males came next to them and that's when I saw him, for a moment we were both stunned staring at each other and I had felt like it was only us there.

When he started towards me that's when I panicked, taking a step back wanting to be shielded by Luca or Beta Gaelan, but both had moved out of the way knowing what me and Adonis were to each other. Inner turmoil struck me in that moment where my wolf wanted to run to him, let him take us away for the start of our new life together as mates but I had Tom's face in my mind, his hand was the one that held my heart not this males.

A roar of pure unfiltered rage came from him, my eyes had snapped to his at the sound as he stared at me then with disgust. He had stopped his advancement towards me and now I saw he was flanked by his brothers, their father stood next to him and I heard his words clearly "What's wrong, son?"

My own form of defense had been built in front of me, Beta Gaelan and his son Taeo were in the shoulder to shoulder position with me in between their large forms, but I had been far too petite as my head barely reached their shoulders. My father was flanked by my brothers who stood as a wall in front of me, my mother behind me but I knew if any threat was to come to me she would be one of the first to react - a true mother wolf.

Tremors shook my body as his words were growled out, poured into the ever growing gloomy atmosphere around us "She is impure" he had stated, his repulsion at his own words had leaked from his body, making the stench of disgust pungent in the air. My shoulders slumped forward, head dropping as I couldn't bear to see his loathing and betrayal shine through his eyes any longer, his feelings had pierced by skin.

"Liar" my father had roared, his shoulders had squared in a clear threatening stance "I would not lie about that" he had snarled in response sending another wave of tremors through me - I didn't know if it was from hearing his voice or his words.

"Corinna is this true? Are you tarnished?" my father had asked, his eyes that once held nothing but love for me now look accusatory - already knowing. "Yes" I replied, seeing his disgust flash through his eyes as he growled at me, stepping towards me as the Betas moved aside giving their Alpha space, my mother being pulled away by my brothers.

"Who? What male did this to you?" he snarled but I gave him no answer, I would never betray my true male like that "Lucian" my mother had said wanting my father to calm down "Is he in this pack?" he had asked, turning his back on me to walk away, trying to push back his wolf.

'Who is it?' Taeo mind linked me, he had been mine and my siblings best friend but I knew we had something else, something more and I had thought he was my mate as he had told me he wished we were mates - we had prayed to the Moon that we would be. But my feelings towards him had changed since Tom, I had forgotten about mine and Taeo's relationship I only wanted Tom and I knew Taeo was confused, he had voiced his hurt to me;

"What happened Corey?"

"Why don't you love me anymore?"

"I love you, don't do this to me!"

I couldn't tell him the truth, I simply told him I was waiting for my mate and I didn't want to carry it on, I had said we can be friends. Now, I felt he deserved the truth as he knew I had lied to him 'A human' I replied blocking him out before I could hear his judgmental words spew out.

"Tell them it's me" Taeo had come to my side, his mouth pressed to my ear "Tell them it's me Corey" he had pleaded, placing a kiss to my neck, "No" I had said. "You'll be punished, it's forbidden." he hissed whilst I saw my father conversing with Alpha Nolan - their words were under their breath but both had looked tense.

"You'll get hurt, I think that's what dad's discussing - they're talking of punishments for the guy I've been with, I won't let you get hurt for me" I tell him, my eyes filling with tears as I turned to him, his own eyes reflected desperation "I don't care, I'll do anything for you Corey you know I love you" he had told me, his lips pressing to mine as his final plea.

Growls tearing from numerous wolves had made us both halt and snap our heads up; my father, my brothers, my mate and his brothers had their eyes locked on Taeo. "It isn't Taeo!" I had screamed desperately pushing him away, "I swear father it isn't" I had said as Gaelan had grabbed his son.

"Then who was it" he growled "A human" I voiced, inhales of air taken from every wolf par me and Taeo and my mate had sneered in disgust. "What have you done Corinna?" my father had said walking towards me "I love him" I said, trying to get him to understand I had wanted him to look at me like he had before with love, not with utter shame.

He had grabbed me, pulling me into his chest in a hug as I had gripped to him shaking as I knew he was going to dish out my punishment "You've broken the law, my precious pup. For your crimes I have no choice but to kill you" he had said, a sob escaped me my mother instantly with us grabbing father "No Lucian, no! You can't do this to her, to our pup, our baby girl" she had pleaded, her hands had been cupping his face whilst I gripped to him, my body trembling in fear.

"Alpha Lucian" the strong voice had said, Alpha Nolan. He had walked to us, "Me and my family are swearing our secrecy to you on this matter, no one has to know - this shall only be kept between our families, no death will need to happen." he had said, my parents tanked him, my father only once but my mother couldn't stop thanking him and then kissing me, taking me in her arms as she tried to soothe me by smothering me in her love.

"My son, Adonis, is willing to take his female back to our pack despite her past and accept her as his mate. But only if his request is met, I have to say it is my request as well" Nolan had spoken "We want the name of the human" he finished.

"I agree, Corinna what is his name" my father had asked "You can't hurt him" I had said, finding strength to defend my male and push away from my mother. Adonis and my father had both growled at me "It's against the law" I stated "One law has already been broken today, why not another? And besides my reasoning is understandable" Adonis had snarled, the fury in his words directed towards me.

"His name, Corey" dad had snapped, "No" I refused "Corinna, tell me his name" he growled, stepping closer "No" I said again "Give me his name!" he roared, the Alpha tone seeping into my mind trying to twist my reluctance to answer and compel to his command, obey him - I couldn't.

Lifting my eyes to his, holding my head up in a show of defiance "No." I said, voice strong betraying my true emotions inside of me; fear of my father. "You know the punishment for defiance, Corinna. I will give you one more chance because you are my pup and I love you, so tell me his name" he said, voice dangerously calm but I knew of the raging seas he had within him, I had seen his punishments before and had been scared just knowing my father could inflict that type of pain onto someone, and then he would be beside me hugging me, being my father. But as I replied with my final "No" I saw the switch - he was no longer my father, he was now Alpha Lucian.

He was advancing towards me but my mother had blocked me from him, growling to him "Evie move" he growled "She is our daughter Lucian, you are her protector" she said "She has brought this upon herself, Eve." he told her as he reached out to grab my should she grabbed his wrist, claws penetrating his skin "No Lucian" she growled, "Beta get the silver chains, and the whip" he told Gaelan who went to fulfill the orders. My father grabbed my mother by her arms, twisting her around so she was locked in place against him, with his other arm he chucked me over his shoulder, gripping onto my ankles.

I had only sobbed as he carried me, listening to my mother screaming profanities at him. He placed me down by the wooden pole, he then took my mother to the closest tree taking a set of chains from Gaelan and easily bound her to the tree, "Lucian! Lucian! Stop! Do not do this!" she had screamed at him as he turned his back on her, "On your knees" he ordered me, I did as I was told my body knowing he punish me even more if I didn't.

He tied my hands with silver chains "One more chance to tell me" he had whispered, my silence answered him "I do not tolerate defiance from anyone Corinna. This is a punishment you have earned" he told me as he was walking away, my hands were already burning; my skin had never felt the harsh touch of silver before.

There was no sound around us as it seemed even nature was waiting in anticipation, my mother was quiet and when my eyes flit to hers I saw Ezra tying a thick bit of fabric that had strands of silver within it to her mouth, silencing her. Both of them were crying, even Luca had tears streaming down his face as he looked at me, Taeo beside him with the same expression "I love you" he mouthed to me.

I heard the sound of it before I felt the impact, in just one hit I felt it tear my skin the tortuous pain searing through me as I screamed, the pain hadn't even dulled when the next lash hit me, jolting me forward with even more agony my whole body shook with every hit.

I felt the blood trickle down my back, and I knew my father was shouting at me but I couldn't hear him, my pain had flooded all of my senses so I only felt the kiss of the whip ripping into my skin and the excruciating pain accompanying it.

My mind felt like it was being whipped itself, I couldn't think straight as the whip was coming down faster and faster, not giving me chance to recover. With every hit I feel his rage tear into my skin, the loud s***h sound in the air, his words screaming at me "Tell me!" whilst my mothers screams of protests and sobs, my own cries joined the battle of horrific noises of that day.

I was on the floor, the only thing up was my hands as I couldn't even hold myself up any longer - it wasn't long before I felt dizziness overcoming me, black seeping into my mind and then the lashes stopped, but my pain only seemed worse.

My hands dropped from the chains, I'm pushed to the floor, my back against the ground as someone's foot had pressed against my torso forcing my back into the grass - torture. I remember seeing my father look at me, I didn't recognise him he seemed foreign to me, heartless.

He was pushed off of me by my mother "How could you!" screams from her "Look at what you have done to her!" she had crouched beside me rolling me to my front but the pain wasn't dulling, the movements were only making me scream as sobs tore from my gut. Her hands had smoothed down my hair "I'm so sorry I couldn't help my sweet girl" she had cooed "Get away from her you monster!" her voice switching to one of hatred for my father "She is my pup too" he had protested, the guilt was heavy in his voice.

"Not anymore, not after what you did to her. You disgust me Lucian. You are never to touch me our my daughter after what you have done" she told him, that was the last thing I had heard that day.

I don't know how many days passed until I was actually able to move again, I only remember waking up every now and then to see my mother with me and she had healers there. Now, looking back I knew she had got the best she could find as at present, I had no evidence of that day on my skin, no scars on the outside as everything was inside; the harrowing events stuck in my mind and every time I thought of them I could feel the kiss of the whip against my flesh as if it was happening again.

As soon as I could walk I had taken my chance and ran away, hitting Tom's door as I was afraid my father was behind me with a whip. He had opened it, seeing my frantic state and not even asking anything before he pulled me inside hugging me tightly, soothing me the only way he can.

That was the day I had officially left my pack, my family, my old life behind for a new fresh start with my true love - Tom. He had told me everything would be fine, we would be happy forever now we were together and I believed him.
