CONFIDENT ALEX

Mrs James went to Alex's room to wake her up for school as usual.

Knock knock..."Alex dear,it's time for....

"Ready!'....Alex said smiling as she opened the door and met her mom outside.

"Wow you didn't even need me to wake you"....Mrs James said in amazement.

"Not when am around"...Stella said grabbing her bag pack from Alex bed.

Stella had slept at the James' house cause she still didn't want to face her dad yet.

"Of course "Mrs James said as she smiled at stella

"Breakfast is ready in the dinning as usual, I made Mac n cheese you girls love that right"...Mrs James said smiling.

" WOW... can't wait to dig in"... Alex said excitedly as she made her way to through the stairs to the dining.

"Breakfast tastes great mom!"...she's smiled as she gave her mom a thumps up.

"She's acting strange today isn't she?"...Stella said to Mrs James while looking at Alex who was busy smiling and eating at the same time.

"Strange?.... maybe she's just happy....."Mrs James said

"Nah maybe a little too happy,I think it's cause of that Caleb dude ....yh it has to be him"....Stella said still fixing her eyes on Alex, not knowing what she had just said to Mrs James.

"Uh?... what?.... who's Caleb?'..Mrs James said she took her gaze away from Alex and looked at Stella.

"Uh?....ok am coming alex!"....Stella said as she escaped Mrs James further questions.

"Stella! who's....

Stella just kept on running to the dining.

....Caleb"...Mrs James said as she finished her sentence under her breath as Stella already ran away.

"Damn that kid has got to stop running away from me"....Mrs James said as she too went to the dining.

Mrs James was on leave from work today,so she didn't have to go to work today,she wanted to make time for Alex so they could talk.

The two girls ate their breakfast and was about heading to school.

Alex grabbed her air phones,Stella grabbed her jacket.

Mrs James walked towards Alex while Stella was still busy putting on her lipstick.

"Alex...you know we never got a chance to talk about what happened in school the other day"...Mrs James said as she adjusted the scarf on Alex's neck..

"Shh"....Mrs James said as she placed her two fingers on Alex's lips to stop her from talking.

"Sweetheart it's fine,as far as you are happy now, that's all I really care about ok?"....she said as she grabbed Alex's face with her two hands and faced a kiss on her forehead.

"Oh and Stella said something about a...

"Am done!!"...Stella said not realizing her voice was loud and that she interrupted something.

Mrs James and Alex turned to looked at Stella who was annoyingly loud.

"C'mon you don't want us to be late now"....Stella said as she put her lipstick back in her bag

Alex then turned her gaze back to her mom... "what were you saying,I didn't quite get you"....

"Oh nevermind, just wanted to say you and stella shouldn't get into trouble"... Mrs James lied,she wanted to ask Alex who the Caleb Stella mentioned was.

"Oh ok mom...bye mom!"...she said as she kissed her mom on the cheek waved her goodbye as she walked out the door.

"Enjoy your day off Mrs James!"

Stella said with a smile as she waved goodbye at Mrs James..

"I'll get you ".... Mrs James said. Giving Stella the stink eye.

"Hahaha".....Stella gave a nervous laugh as she quickly went out the door.

"What's with your face"...Alex asked Stella who was already dripping sweat.

"Oh me?... nothing, just a little hot...don't you feel hot?"...Stella said fanning herself with her hand.

"You know we are outside right"...Alex laughed as she started walking ahead of Stella.

" Oh yh" Stella said

As she looked back she saw Mrs James at the window writing "I'll get you" on the window as she used her breath to make it even more visible.

"Ahh"....Stella said as she felt chills run down her spine.

"That nurse needs to be one in the hospital bed for a change"....she said as she looked away running towards Alex.

The girls were walking and chatting on their way to school...

"Stella do you think everyone has forgotten about the whole Jason and i issue?... Alex asked with a lil smile on her face,one could say the smile looked sad,and Stella was one of those who thought so too..

"God Alex you just had to ruin the moment by calling his name...jeez...

"Remember that?, that's what you said to me when I brought up Jason at the sleepover last night"..Stella said smiling.

"You're a psycho"...Alex said smiling at Stella.

"Awwn that's the sweetest thing you've said to me this morning....am so touched"Stella said smiling.

All Alex could do was just laugh.

"You wanna know what I think....

Alex then looked at Stella.

"I don't think think anyone had forgotten,at least not unless something big happens in school again"...Stella said frankly to Alex.

"You know I don't really care anymore,at first I just wanted to make Jason regret it all,make him pay but I realized there was nothing I could do to make him feel bad for hurting me.... nothing"....Alex said

"You know the best way I think to get back at a person who says they don't need you is to show that you don't need them anymore also.

And with that Alex realized Stella had a point..

"Yh you're right"... Alex said smiling

And in about few minutes they got on the bus and arrived at school.

And of course as Alex expected,all eyes were on her,Stella look d at her to see if she was ok,but Alex just kept on smiling as she took a deep breath...like she was getting ready for what ever may come at that moment.

And it wasn't long till one of the annoying students spoke from behind

"Look at her so shameless"...a student called Mia said

As Stella was about to react,Alex raised her hand to try to stop Stella.

"I can handle her"....Alex said as she smiled as she turned to face the girl.

"Shameless?.....it's funny cause that's the attitude I was planning to give today,so glad you noticed"...alex smiled.

"You can call me shameless"....Alex. Said walking up close to the girl.

"Cause I really don't care what anyone say or even think about me anymore".... Alex said as she drew back and was a about turning back,when she stopped to face Mia again.

"Next time don't be such a coward and say it to my face would you"...Alex smiled.

"And let's find out how shameless I can get.... maybe enough to pull every single strand of your hair in public"...Alex smiled as she looked at Mia from head to toe

"Let's go Stella"....alex smiled as she took her gaze away from Mia.

Mia just stood there frozen it was more than obvious she was scared and surprised at the same time.

"Jeez when did she learn to speak like that,are you ok Mia?"..... Another girl next to mia said.

"Woah my bestie is a bad a*s!you were fire there, where...When! Did you even get the guts.....I didn't even have to say a word,am sure she's still very much in shock"... Stella said as it was obvious she was impressed as she laughed and clapped her hands for Alex.

Alex just smiled as she kept walking.

"I can handle myself now you know"....Alex said

"Wow this feels like a new you!!!"....

"Oh am just getting started".... Alex smiled cockyly.

The girls had their lectures,and went on their lunch break.

They were heading home when....

"Shoot!, Alex I forgot my phone ,let me quickly check the science lab,I'll be right back"....Alex said as she ran off without waiting for Alex's reply.

A few seconds later.....

"Alex! Alex!!".... Jacob yelled from afar.

Alex turned back to see Jacob running towards her...

"Hey!"..... Jacob said panting

"You ok?"..... Alex asked

"Yh"..... Jacob said surprised she cared about him after what he did to her.

"Stella said you wanted to talk"....Alex said.

Jacob already got himself after he got enough air.

"Yh I wanted to.....

"To?....Alex said

"To apologize....I wanted to say sorry about last time"... Jacob finally managed say.

"Oh so you really did want to apologize.....well it's fine, we're cool".....Alex said as she was about to turn her back and get going but she turned to Jacob and faced him again.

Stella already found her phone and was running to meet Alex when she stopped as she saw Alex talking to Jacob... She didn't want to interrupt and make Jacob feel uncomfortable enough to not apologize... She knew he really wanted to apologize so she stayed back and watched from a close distance.

"Did you apologize cause of your dad?"...Alex asked

"Huh?"...Jacob said

"You heard me"....Alex said keeping a straight face

"Well yh,....you don't know my dad".....Jacob said as he scratched the back of his head nervously.

"Well i don't want to....I just know the Jacob Williams I know wouldn't say sorry on his own"....Alex said as she folded her arm.

Jacob just kept silent

"Well so did he come, yesterday did he come to school?I missed school so I wouldn't know.

"Yh....he did".... Jacob said as he buried his head,as if he remembered something awful.

"Well hope you didn't get into any big trouble"...Alex said as she smiled at him,she just wanted to be totally cool with Jacob.

"Oh....well just a little bit".... Jacob said as he smiled back,he liked the fact that Alex was being comfortable and casual with him.

Just then Stella showed up....

"I found my phone,let's go Alex"... stella said as if she wasn't watching them the whole time.

But Alex and and Jacob just kept on smiling at each other,and the only thing that came on Stella's mind was What is happening here!

"So how about we hang out some other time.... You cool with that?"....Alex siad as she smiled at Jacob.

"Yh that would be nice"....Jacob also said with a smile.

"Gimme your phone".....Alex said out of nowhere.

"Huh"...my phone?"...Jacob said surprised

"Yh your phone dum dum"....Alex said as she smile at him.

Stella just stood there watching them act like she wasn't there...and the most shocking was Alex having the guts to call JACOB..."DUM DUM"...

Jacob brought his phone out from his jacket's pocket handing it to Alex unsure of what she wanted to do with his phone.

Alex grabbed the phone from his hand as she dialed a number.

"Here that's my number". She said smiling as she handed it to him.

Stella felt like she was about to pass out,like what the hell was happening is Alex actually being friendly to.. JACOB!!!.

Jacob smiled as he took his phone back from her,then looked at the number,she saved with her name....he was surprised cause he just came to apologize and it feels like they are becoming friends already.

"Thanks".. Jacob said with a big smile.

"Let's go Stella"...Alex said as she smiled and turned her gaze on Stella.

Stella was just speechless and couldn't move,as Alex then agrabbed her hand and they went off.

Jacob on the other hand acted like Stella and was just left Speechless as he still couldn't understand what just happened.

"What the f**k just happened there!"....Stella said stretching her hand to the previous scene..

"Oh hush Stella... You really can't do without swearing can you?".. Alex said as she adjusted her glasses...

"Wow, first it was with Mia,now Jacob...wow,I don't even who you anymore"....Stella said amazed as she remembered what Alex did with Mia

Alex just smiled

" C'mon it's still me Stella..... just a better one".. she said as she looked at Stella and smiled.

"I just don't want to feel weak and inferior you know like the old Alex"....she said as she smiled again.

But Stella just kept on looking at Alex with amazement as they kept on walking.

"Things are about to get really fun Stella....am going for a daring vibe".... Alex said with a normal smile, but it felt like an evil smile to Stella..

"Just who the f**k are you!! ....."

"Call me confident Alex".... Alex said as she smiled mischievously and waked ahead of Stella.
