After years of waiting I finally had enough money to open my own store and I am so proud of myself. Kairo and I are still going strong and we have been talking about moving in together.
"Baby you seen my shirt". He asked walking into my room.
"I Ironed it and put it back in the closet". I said looking up from my laptop.
"Alright thanks". He said walking into the closet taking the shirt off the hanger.
"Are you nervous about your first day". I ask and he shook his head no.
"I'm good those people don't know me so what I got to be nervous for". He said and he did have a point.
"What time do you get off today". I ask closing the laptop and placing it on the dresser by my bed.
"I get off at 6". He said as he cleaned his piercings.
"Okay I have a surprise for you when you get off". I said and he looked over at me with an eyebrow raised.
"What is it". He asked and I shook my head.
"It wouldn't be a surprise if you knew". I said with a smile on my face.
"Don't be up to no bullshit cause you like to play". He said causing me to laugh.
"I'm not I promise I really think you're going to love this". I said because when I found out I already loved it.
"Mhm come give me a kiss so I can go". He said and I got out of bed giving him a kiss before he walked out and left.
Quickly grabbing my phone I call Yara.
"Hey girl". She said as soon as the call connected.
"Hey do you think you could meet me at the mall". I ask putting my shoes on.
"Yeah give me 20 minutes". She said as I grabbed my keys.
"Alright see you then love you". I said walking to my car.
"Love you too". She said before hanging up.
Buckling you're I start the car and pull off heading to the mall.
|25 minutes later|
Finally finding a parking spot close to the entrance I see Yara texted me telling me she was standing inside at the entrance.
Getting out of the car I grab my purse and walk in.
"Bestfriend". Yara called out running up to me and she was about to jump on me but I stopped her.
"What's wrong I always jump on you". She said and I shook my head.
"I have a surprise for you". I said taking the blind fold out of my purse.
"Okay". She said more like a question.
Putting the blind fold on her I grab her hand and lead her to the first store.
"Okay you can take the blind fold off". I said smiling as I looked at her.
She took it off and looked around before looking at me with a confused look.
"What are we doing in here". She asked waiting on an answer.
"OH MY GOSH OH MY GOSH". She yelled jumping up and down causing people to look over at us.
"You're pregnant". She asked and I nodded my head as she brought me into a hug.
"I have to find a way to surprise Kairo that's why I asked you to come". I said and she started crying.
"Let's get started". She said grabbing my hand and dragging me off.
|later that night|
Laying on the couch watching tv I hear the front door open and Kairo walked in.
"Hey baby". He said locking the door before walking over and giving me a kiss.
"I'm about to take a shower". He said and I nodded watching him go to the back before I started setting things up.
After about twenty minutes he finally came to the front.
"What's all this". He asked slowly walking into the kitchen.
"Your surprise now let's eat". I said taking a seat and he did the same.
I didn't really want to lay it on him so I made small talk through out dinner.
|30 minutes later|
After putting our dishes in the dishwasher I grab his gift bag and hand it to him.
I watch as he goes through it pulling out baby shoes before looking over at me.
"What's this my feet ain't this small". He said with his face scrunched up.
"Keep going". I said laughing as I shook my head.
He then pulled out the ultrasound and pregnancy test.
"No you're not". He said looking over at me then back at the test.
"I am". I said nodding my head.
"How far along are you". He asked looking back at me.
"I'm 3 months". I said giving him a small smile.
He dropped his head and started crying. Getting up I rub his back and he wrapped his arms around me.
"I love you". He said shocking me because he's never said it before.
"I love you too". I said running my hands through his freshly done dreads.
Maybe this is what he needed...
