Laying in bed I scroll on my phone listening to Yara go on and on about the party tonight.
"I'm trying to get drunk". She said causing me to laugh.
"How about tipsy cause I'm not dealing with you while you're drunk". I said as she looked at me gasping while holding her chest.
"b***h I'm an angel when I'm drunk". She said causing us both to laugh.
"We literally almost get into fights with people because your mouth get to reckless". I said and she nodded cause she knew I was right.
"Most of the time I don't start it". She said with a shrug.
"True because when they initiate I retaliate". I said as we both laughed.
"Enough about that what was that all about Tuesday". She asked making me look up from my phone.
"What you talking about". I ask with a confused look.
"You talking to the quiet guy". She asked as I shrugged.
"It wasn't nothing really". I said looking back down at my phone.
"You know Jerome is going to try and fight that boy". She said as I locked my phone sitting it down beside me.
"He's just jealous but he already tried to start something Tuesday at school". I said and her eyes got wide.
"One day somebody is going to beat his ass". She said and I nod agreeing with her.
Jerome always thinks he can beat people up and make them scared of him but it just takes that one person to put him in his place.
"What are you wearing to the party". I ask changing the subject.
"I have this really pretty purple dress that I haven't worn yet what are you wearing". She asked as I nodded listening to her.
"I'm not sure yet I have a couple of outfits in mind but let's watch a movie before the party". I said turning on the tv and getting comfortable in the bed.
~5 hours later~
Looking in the mirror at my outfit I smile cause I looked good.
"You ready to go". Yara asked looking over at me.
"Yeah let's go turn up". I said grabbing my phone and following behind her.
Getting in the car I pull off and head towards the party.
Once we made it I cut the car off and texted Kairo to see if he made it yet.
"Girl come on let's go I'm ready to drink". She said getting out of the car.
"I'm walking up right now". I read and I quickly got out of the car looking around for him.
When I finally spot him I wave my arms and call his name.
"KAIRO". I yelled and he looked over at me before walking over.
"Wassup". He said looking down at the ground.
"Glad to see you could make it let's go". I said grabbing his hand and he instantly snatched it back.
"I don't want any trouble with your mans". He said noticing the look on my face.
"Um, okay let's go". I said walking into the house and towards the kitchen with him following behind me.
"Henny or Paul Masson". I ask holding the bottles up.
"I don't drink". He said grabbing a sprite out of the cooler.
"Oh". I said sitting the henny down and pouring myself some Paul Masson.
"Let's go dance". I said grabbing his sleeve and guiding him to the dance floor.
As I was dancing and he was just standing there somebody started talking into a microphone.
"If you could kindly direct your attention towards the tv". The voice I just recognized as Jerome said causing every body to look at the huge tv screen.
When the video popped up it was people getting murdered and everyone started murmuring but once I realized who it was I stormed up to Jerome and slapped him.
"How f*****g dare you". I said before turning and running out of the house looking for Kairo.
Looking to my left I spot him walking away. I quickly make my way towards him grabbing his arm making him stop walking.
"I'm so sorry I didn't think he would do something like that". I said and he still held his head down.
Lifting his head up tears were slowly rolling down his cheeks.
"Look I need to go". He said before walking around me.
Watching him walk away I stand in the middle of the sidewalk.
I can't believe that really just happened...
