5. Alice, I'm a Dragon

Liam POV:

“There is something wrong, she should be healing by now! Randall, can your wolf reach her wolf?” Dr Susan asked concerned and he keeps trying as soon as she asked.

“I can’t reach Hope! What’s going on?” I could see how upset he was and I kept thinking about all the possibilities.

“Something is blocking it, could it be her bracelet? I didn’t remind her wearing one when we met” I asked them.

“It might be but how this thing ended up on her wrist?” She asked looking at me taking if off her.

“Obviously the guards put on her after she got caught.” I replied before noticing how upset Randall and Henry’s face was, they were staring at each other, probably mind-linking.

“We will investigate it; someone is acting behind our backs. Someone close who knows about Alice, I refuse to accept it was just a coincidence, someone made my guards go after her, if they possibly knew she was my daughter, they wouldn’t dare to touch a strand of her hair.” Randall said visibly thinking about it while speaking “they did disobey my orders, though, they weren’t supposed to kill or hurt anyone before I allow them to do so, I hope King Phoenix is taking bad care of them in the underworld now like they deserve it.” he continued.

Henry were quiet, it seems he was trying to think about something and looked very upset with all this situation.

“Alpha, try to reach her now.” Henry asked as soon as he noticed I got rid of the bracelet and Randall tried it.

“Shadow reached Hope, it was the f*****g bracelet indeed, you’re good, Liam. How could you possibly know these kinds of things?” Randall asked me.

“Well, let’s say that I’ve been through it before” Their eyes widened but I didn’t feel like talking about it right now “How Alice is now?” I asked the doctor.

She checked on her again.

“Well, I guess we’re going to find out in about a few minutes or a day” she replied.

“Actually Susan, can you stay with them until I get back? We will go to the Royal Pack for the meeting right now.” Randall asked her.

“Look, you know I have a lot of other patients, of course I’ll stay here all the time I can but I can’t just let them without medical care, I promise I’ll stay here until she wakes up. Now that her wolf is back, she’ll heal in no time, she’s strong, besides she’s with her mate and he is essential for her to heal faster” she said and Randall was somehow uneased.

“I won’t let anything bad happens to her.” I said with conviction.

“It’s not like you were with her when the bad happened, right?” Randal asked me coldly and ironically, I just looked back at Alice’s face, guilt in my eyes.

Damn, he was right! She’s mine, it was supposed for me to protect her and I failed her.

Images of Alice’s covered with blood in the cell kept coming inside my head over and over again.

When she heals completely, I’m going to speak to her about myself and we’re going to complete the bond.

“There’s no point in keep fighting over this right now, you grumpy Alpha, don’t you have a meeting to attend to?” Dr Susan looked directly to Randall and he growled.

Randal and Henry left the pack house and Dr Susan left in a few minutes to the kitchen, I was finally left alone with her.

I cupped her face and whispered “Come back to me soon, my love” I was sobbing.

I fell into a deep slumber.

I opened my eyes and I was in a meadow, a beautiful waterfall and crystalline stream around, it looks like the Elves Realm, her scent was driving me crazy, she was here.

I turned around and I saw her, she was wearing a floral dress, the hem of her dress on her knees and I could also see her beautiful collarbone…she was smiling at me and ran towards me, I lifted her in my arms and she wrapped her legs around my waist, she’s so beautiful, her lips was calling mines and I pressed my lips against her and kissed her, our kiss was full of passion as our mouths and tongues danced swirling around tasting every inch of each other’s mouth with love, she was so close I could feel my hard on throbbing against the thin fabric of her knickers.

“You’re here, I thought I would never see you again, how come you’re in my dream? I think it’s a dream but you feel so real” It was heaven to hear her voice again.

“I am real, I’m here and I won’t ever leave you again.” I reassured her.

“Why can’t I wake up? What happened? If this is a dream, I don’t want to wake up anymore now that you’re here I guess” she was confused and she giggled at her own statement.

“Well, do you remember anything about what happened before you got unconscious, princess?”

“I remember I got caught, they hurt me and I think I saw you and my dad together, I know it’s pretty much unlike it…but that’s it.” she replied holding me like her life depended on it “I can’t feel Hope anymore, I have to find her.” Her face went to relaxed to concerned.

“Don’t worry, princess, you were under a spell, a bracelet blocked your wolf, we took it off and she’s probably resting and will come back soon healed.” I told her softly, I couldn’t even recognize myself anymore, even her wolf was attracting me.

“Thank you, you saved us.” She smiled and hugged me tight.

“Just promise me you will never leave me again.”

“Liam…I…” she was about to say something but I felt something dragging me back and I wake up startled by the living room with Alice.

“Oh finally, I thought I’d have to examine you too, dude! Sorry but I just want to say that I have to go back to my other patients and also that Alice wounds are finally healing, she’ll wake up in no time, I wish I could stay until she wakes up like I promised but I have to check on them” She says as she grabs her bags and make her way out through the door “I’m going to leave you two alone now, have fun, she'll probably need it” She said and giggled before she left.

I turned myself to look at Alice again, checked her wounds on her back and it’s almost healed, I released a breath I didn’t know I was holding.

Alice POV:

I was dreaming but I was on my own, I tried to reach for Hope but nothing happened.

After Liam left, I felt like I was in the middle of nothing, I didn’t know if it was a dream or if it was actually happening, I felt the tingles coming from my hand spreading all over my body for a while now and I was relaxed, I didn’t know how many hours or days passed.

“Alice” I heard a beautiful and familiar voice calling me.

“Hope” I turned around and could see her waving her tail but she was laid on the grass.

“Are you ok?” I caressed her fur, I was definitely inside my mind.

“I’m a bit weak but at least I could make my way back, we’re going to be fine, Shadow reached me.” She whispered “I didn’t tell you before because I was finding my way back here, something was blocking me” She continued.

“We’re going to be ok and we will make our way back to our mate” I told her and she could get up, she was a fighter.

I was relieved, I laid on her side embracing her for hours and I felt my body levitating into the nothingness, before I left I saw a little girl tied up near a stream not too far from where Hope was, she was shining and I tried to go back to help her but I couldn’t, my body was floating and getting even more distant.

All of a sudden, I woke up startled on the living room’s sofa at the pack house, the intoxicated and addictive scent overran me, mahogany and oakmoss, I looked at my side and I couldn’t believe my eyes.

Was I still dreaming?

I saw him, my Liam, my mate beside me at the pack house, he was holding my hand and I could feel how relaxed I was with his skin contacted with mine, his gaze found mine and he smiled, it was the most gorgeous smile I have ever seen, it was rebel, dominant and sweet just like him, my heart melted and he cupped my face.

“Welcome back, princess.” He said softly.

“Liam, you’re here…but…how? Please, tell me you’re not hurt.” my heart was racing, I was so happy and confused at the same time.

“Really? You’re the one who was unconscious and you’re asking me if I’m hurt? You’re just too good for this world, princess, I’m fine, not a single scratch.” He said before kissing my forehead.

He sat by my side still holding my hands he explained me everything, my mouth dropped open.

“Goddess, it was so much for a day already, I mean, what are the chances I got attacked like that after I find my mate, right?” I chuckled trying to calm myself down but feeling something was definitely odd.

“Alice, there’s so much I want to tell you, but first can I see your wounds? I’m worried about you, after everything you’ve been through.” He asked me, I blushed a little but I turned my back to him and lifted my shirt off to my neck.

I felt his fingers traveling around my back sending jolts of electricity and goosebumps all over my body, I gasped, what this man is doing to me?

I felt like he was everything I needed right now, nothing else mattered.

“You’re healing, it’s looking like a superficial cut already” he said and wrapped his arms around me, my bare back on his strong chest “We haven’t completed the bond but you already became my everything, I can’t live without you anymore, Alice, I was so scared, I thought I’d lose you, I couldn’t believe my eyes when I saw the way they hurt you, I almost lost my mind and it took me a lot of control to don’t burn the entire realm”

My heart raced again, what does he meant by burn the entire realm? I giggled at his statement.

I turned myself to face him and I glanced into those beautiful and mesmerizing eyes and wrapped my arms around his neck, when I was in the cell with those nasty man, I was panicked I would have my dignity taken away, I could bear the torture and the pain but not this, I’ve always wanted to save myself for my mate, for Liam.

The thought of anybody else forcing me to such a thing is unbearable, especially after I met my mate, maybe that's what I need to overcome it all, we need to complete the bond and nothing else would come between us again, besides the way he touches me gives me a good feeling, it was pleasant and he arouses me to the point the haze of pleasure makes my mind blank and only my body respond to his touches.

So I knew exactly what I needed, I didn’t want to take any more chances or it's just my will to give in to Liam and I was somehow relief they didn't violate me.

“I can’t live without you anymore too, Liam. I want to complete the bond” I blushed a little, maybe it was too sudden but I was determined.

I heard Hope howling and whimpering happily, she was back!

It made me even more in peace.

He gasped and his eyes became a few shades darker, he pressed his lips on mine.

“You have no idea how much I want to claim you as mine right away, mark you and complete the bond but you’ve been through a lot and before that you have to be completely healed, my love, because I’ll make you howl in heaven when I claim you, little wolf.” He said it while looking deeply into my eyes and I sighed, my jaw dropped open, Hope was pacing happily like a little puppy, and I could feel something getting hot between my thigh, he's so intense.

”And besides, there’s something I want to tell you about me” He finished.

“Ok, I'm all ears” I said and waited.

“Just rest for today Little Wolf, I’ll make you something to eat, you wait here” he said and I just nodded, after a while he came in with a plate for me and for him, we ate and it was delicious.

"Did you cook this?" I asked him

"Yes, is it bad?"

"Are you kidding me? That's the most delicious thing I've ever tasted" I said and he smiled in approval.

We talked a little bit more, then we fall asleep in each other’s arms.

The next day I woke up and Dr Susan came to check on me.

“I’m so glad you’re healing fast and awake, dear” she said.

“Thank you so much, I’m glad I’m back, I missed you so bad, Susan.” I told her honestly and she hugged me, I always felt connected to her, she was great, fun and she's also responsible for raising me.

She stayed with us until afternoon and she left to check on her other patients, it was such a pleasant time, she was so funny and kink, she looks like a teenager on her own way.

After she left, I couldn’t help but question Liam about what he wanted to talk to me, he was hesitant so I took my chances.

“Liam, what? You killed people? My dad killed a ton more, I’m sure of it! Please, there’s nothing you can say to me that would make me change my mind! You’re mine”

He chuckled, I guess he likes my possessiveness and I felt him relaxing a little bit after what I said.

“I wouldn’t be so sure, I’m going to put the effect of the rune that is covering my scent down so you can smell me” and he did it, all of a sudden, a different scent mixed with his scent and it was very pleasant but nothing like I’ve ever scented before, it confused me and Hope.

I was slowly walking around him and sniffing him, every lungful of air I breathed was getting me even more confused.

"I'm lost, Alice" Hope said to me.

“I can’t recognize your scent, I’m sorry Liam, that’s new to me, I’ve never met with any other species besides wolves but I recognize their scent, I was home-schooled and my professor carried a sample of scents from every species and I’m sure that your was none of them, I don't know much about runes either. I know that runes can be used by any of us ever since its primary effect meant for magic defense for a limited period of time we can’t control and it’s extremely hard to find one of those now a days”

He tensed and I tried again but it’s no use.

“All right, I give up!” I smiled.

He seemed even more tense, it was clear he was hesitating, what he’s so afraid of?

He was afraid that I’d leave him or something else?

I tried to discover it myself so he could chill out, but I couldn’t, I just felt his strong and commanding aura around.

I froze in my spot, he's a Royal? What?

“Alice, I’m a dragon”.

My jaw dropped open again and my mind was spinning by itself.
