Martha parked her station wagon far from the country club entrance. It would mean walking farther in her heels, but she did not want to draw attention to her old car. She was very happy that the hair salon had had a changing area available where she could put on her dress and do her make-up, since having to carry her dress in and change at the club would have brought more attention than her car. Stepping out of the semi-hidden vehicle, Martha smoothed her dress down over her hips. She really did love how it looked on her.
