When Martha woke up on Saturday morning she felt very satisfied. She had stayed at Landry’s until a little past midnight, mostly in his bedroom, but he knew she would want to sleep at Dahlia House so Josie was not alone all night. When Landry dropped Martha off at her house she considered inviting him in for the night. We could just sleep, completely clothed, she thought, but decided against it. She did not want Josie to wake up to find another person unexpectedly in their home, even if it was someone she knew and nothing inappropriate happened in the house. Plus, Martha knew that she could not guarantee nothing inappropriate would happen if Landry were in her bed.
