The knight moved forward, as quietly as he could, parting the leaves with his sword as he went. He knew he was nearing the other bowmen now, their voices becoming clear as they called out their shots. Pushing a branch out of the way, he saw a group of six men leaning against the trees. As some notched their arrows, another stepped out from behind cover, took aim, and let fly. The arrow sailed through the air, taking out the wounded man and dropping him; the body floating, lifeless, down the stream. Next, a lanky black-haired youth stepped out from behind a tree, taking a bead on a target. Arnim screamed a challenge and charged forward, his sword before him.
