Gerald's forces marched into the open. Off to the west, he noticed a massive horde of cavalry, still some distance away, moving in a southerly direction. The Mercerian led army had caught the enemy on the march.
"Revi," called out Gerald, "what are they doing?"
"Just beyond them, out of sight of us, is the army of Weldwyn. Our allies have taken up a position on a hill. It looks like the Kurathian horse is heading south to flank them."
"We need to get their attention," proclaimed Gerald.
Revi held up his hand to forestall him. "We already have it," said the mage. "It seems our presence has not gone unnoticed. Their troops are halting their progress south."
