"Easier said than done," grumbled the Dwarf. "I hate swamps." It took them a day to make their way out of the swamp and then another five heading eastward along the northern edge. Each afternoon, Revi would send his familiar up into the skies to get his bearings until, at last, he announced that it was time to re-enter the swamp. This time they prepared before entering. Hayley foraged ahead, and they took a day to cook and skin the game she caught. Each traveller carried a walking stick as they led the horses, single file, into the marshy terrain. Using Shellbreaker, they were able to scout ahead, to find dry spots to set up camp in. This became easier as the mage realized that certain trees only grew on these bare areas. For four days they moved south in this manner, drawing ever closer
