Chapter 3- The Destination is heartbreak

"Mom, Rehan is like a brother to me!" Sanyukta slipped her feet in the black stilettoes angrily, irritated at her mother's constant pestering to get engaged to her only male friend early in the morning. "That was when you were small! Now you should look at him-" "He is a brother to me Maa. That is it." She grabbed her navy blue hand bag and opened the door. "Sanyukta. You are 23! You have to get married, Mrs.Sharma's daughter..." Ignoring what her mother was saying, she shut the door of the house and rushed towards the lift. Reaching the parking lot, she quickly turned her Activa on and speeded towards the office, already running half an hour late than the scheduled time of her arrival. She was about to enter Randhir's cabin when she saw Samika, one of the young female employees of the firm, standing with Randhir near the window, her hands playing with his black tie, trying to portray as though she was fixing it. While Randhir had his hands in his black trousers, a flirty smile playing on his lips as he stared at Samika's pretty face, naughtily. Sanyukta inhaled sharply and composed herself, faking a well trained smile, she barged into the cabin like she owned it. "Good morning."She said brightly and Randhir immediately pushed away Samika's hands from his tie. "Good Morning." He tried matching her enthusiasm but failed to, thanks to the slight guilt nagging him. "Samika I will see you later." He smiled and the girl, dressed in a revealing blouse and a short formal skirt smiled seductively before walking out of the cabin. "So, what are the appointments for the day?" Randhir briskly walked towards the chair, whilst Sanyukta read out the meetings scheduled for the day with great efficency, trying to act as normal as she could. ------------------------------------------------------ "London?" She shot open her eyes in astonishment, as her palms on his bare back stopped caressing his enticing skin. "Hmmm.." He really wasn't interested in distracting himself from the delicious skin of her neck, his fingers unbuttoning the first two buttons of her shirt. "Randhir! Tell me!" She hit his shoulders lightly, irritated at his lack of response. "What Sanyukta?" He sat on the bed, irritated at her constant questioning. "I asked you whether I should schedule the meeting with Benjamin West next week, you said no. I asked you why, you said London." She pushed her petite frame upwards, covering her exposed brazziere with her shirt and lowering her gaze nervously. "We have an important conference there next week. We are going there." He genuinely smiled, sitting on his knees and moving towards her. "We?" Her eyes twinkled in excitement, he brushed his fingers on her lips causing her to shut her eyes and inhale deeply. "We." He leaned his face closer to hers and took her lips for a kiss, his hands clutching her waist. "I have never traveled out of India." Her lips broke into a grateful smile, his lips moved to her shoulder that he had exposed by pushing the sleeve of her shirt and strap of her brazziere down. "Hmmm.." He licked her skin, not really listening to what she was saying, making her smile sadly.
