SAVAGE AFFAIRS EPISODE NINETEEN

When Sean heard that he quickly got out of bed got dressed and rushed out of his house and he didn't call his mum because Eddy asked him not to.

He drove so fast and in about 15 minutes he got to Niki's apartment and by now the people living there had known what had happened. He made his way past the crowd and found his way into Niki's bedroom. The sight of her body made him free for a moment before Eddy hugged him and he broke down in his arms..

Sean: no she can't be dead.

He said breaking free from Eddy's hug and going to where Niki was lying. He held her bloody body in his arms and he cried over her like he never did, not even when his dad died.

Sean: what happened to you Niki, talk to me! Who did this to you?

Of cause there was no response and Eddy joined him in mourning their sister.

A few minutes later the police got to the scene and talked to the Anwar's as a few reporters asked questions too after the police were done.

Eddy and Sean watched their sister's body being taken away and they followed the police so that for some letter that would give then a go a head to take Niki to the mortuary of their choice.

I got a text from Eddy telling me that his sister was dead and I was quite shocked. How could she be dead while he spoke to her just a few hours earlier. I tried to call Eddy but he was not picking. I thought of calling Sean but I knew if I did that he would know Eddy told me and maybe he would rather I hear such news from him instead so i waited for his call.

Eva woke up after hearing me walking around trying to fix me some coffee and got up and came to the kitchen where I was.

She said good morning and asked me to make her some coffee to and teased me alittle bit for coming back late in the night.

Eva: was it romantic?

Me: what?

Eva: your late night date with Eddy Anwar.

Me: how do you know we were on a date?

Eva: just a good guess.

Me: it was very good. Eddy is crazy. He blocked a bit so busy road and had a picnic like candle lit date in the middle of the road.

Eva: mmh nice.

Me: nolonger nice because he just texted me and told me Niki is dead.

Eva: wait, what? As in Niki the socialite, his sister?

Me: yes.

Eva: oh no...

She said as we both took our mugs and walked to the living room. She switched on the tv and boom! Breaking news... " Social light and business woman Niki Anwar is dead!

So it was true that Niki was really dead.

Eddy and Sean finished up at the mortuary then headed straight home to break the news to their mother hoping no reporter had called for any confirmations or asking her questions regarding the issue she might have not been aware about.

They drove into their compound and when they got into the house they met their mother coming down the stairs with her phone in hand.

Naomi: and why are you boys her this early, you don't believe the number of condolence messages I've got this morning everyone keeps telling me sorry for my loss and i don't know what they are taking about.

Eddy: mum, we need to talk to you.

They led her to the living room and had her sit and Eddy sat on the table facing her and Sean stood besides Eddy.

Naomi: what's going on?

Eddy: mum, Niki is dead. She was found dead in her apartment this morning.

Naomi was silent for a long while then suddenly she let out a loud scream that scared both Sean and Eddy then she fainted on the couch.

Sean: mum!

Eddy: come on, get some water and something we fan her.

Sean did as Eddy had asked as Eddy gave her some fast aid. He sprinkled some water on her face and fanned her until she regained consciousness.

She woke up and started crying claiming that it was all her fault because she kicked her out. She cried getting up and roaming in the living room calling on Niki's name and taking to herself.

Naomi: I've killed my own daughter, how could I be so wicked to kick out my own child, my baby girl.

She cried and both Sean and Eddy stood there not knowing what to do.

A few reporters had already camped by their gate waiting to be spoken to but none of them walked out to speak to them.

Sean: mum it's not your fault.

Naomi: if I had let her stay here, my baby would still be alive.

She blew her nose with the cloth she was wearing and when they thought she was done crying she was at it again.

Naomi: where is she?

Sean: we already took her body to the mortuary.

They sat with their mum and consoled her..

The news about Niki's death had travelled real fast and alot of her fans were all over social media posting her photos and encouraging the family.

Sadic went back to Judith's house to grab his remaining stuff from the house and move out completely. Judith had already heard of Niki's death and she cried too.

Judith: you were not supposed to kill her.

Sadic: do you think it was easy for me? I actually liked her bjt i did what needed to be done. Her blood is in your hands infact all their blood will be in your hands because you are the reason for all this.

He went to his room grabbed a bag and walked back to the living room. He picked Anwar's photo and looked at it.

Sadic: after we bury Niki, their mother will be next. Go back there and say your goodbyes. Resign from that job.

Judith didn't say a thing but watched him leave carrying the photo with him.

Judith: what kind of obsession is this?

She asked following him and watching him drive off.

I didn't get a text or a call from Sean so i decided to go to their place and see him. I wasn't even sure if it was a good idea but Eva encouraged me to and she decided to go with me too. She told me Sean could hsve been caught up in the moment that he did not remember to call me while I was there feeling like I wasn't important to him. I had expected that after such a thing happens, i would be the first person he called but I understood Eva's point.

We got dressed and took a cab to the Anwar's home. We got to the gate and afyer telling the guards who I was, they confirmed with Sean and they let me in.

The cab guy parked his car in the compound and after we got off we paid him and he left and almost immediately Sean came to meet us.

He hugged me for long then finally let go and said hello to Eva then he led us in.

Sean: I'm so sorry I didn't call. It has been a crazy morning.

Me: i know, it's okay...I'm sorry about Niki.

We got to the living room where his mother and Eddy was and not having known how to greet Eddy I hugged him and did the same to Naomi to make the whole situation less awkward...

Me: I'm sorry for your loss Mrs. Anwar.

She looked at me with tears in her eyes and I honestly sacked at comforting people because I was also an emotional being.

Naomi: she was my little girl, my only girl.

Eva and I talked to her and after she calmed down, Sean decide to go fix breakfast so that they could all eat something but Eva and i opted to help with that..

Matasi after helping out Dru left the city for

the country side after knowing Eddy would hunt him down. He got rid of all the means that anyone could trace him with and settled home with his wife and three children. He enrolled them in a school in the country side and started a small business there.

His wife asked if he would go to Nairobi again but he assured her not if Eddy Anwar was still alive. He feared for his life because Mike had told him what to expect had he crossed Eddy..

Mike was busy practising his shooting skills in Eddy's back yard when Leo walked up to him and joined him.

Leo put a few bullets in his gun and shot at at the target on the shooting range till it dropped.

Mike: are you mad about something?

Leo: no. Just getting ready for war.

Mike: what war.

Leo: Eddy's sister is dead. Someone killed her and besides that, someone wants their entire family dead. Can I ask you something?

Mike: yes.

Leo: why did you do it, why did you even think of betraying us?

Mike: i don't know man, s**t happens. I needed tge extra cash snd the deal was good. I could have gotten a if you killed but i remembered the brother hood and how far we have come as a team. I couldn't do it.

Leo: Eddy besides being very dangerous is a good man you know. I never even thought he would give you a second chance.

Mike: i don't deserve it, i don't even deserve your trust but you are family man and I owe all of you. It's sad the rest of the team is fine and we have to look out for each other.

Mike: is he still mad at me?

Leo: no. He's cool but I don't know how he is taking his sister's death.

Mike: should we call him?

Leo: maybe just drop him a text. He should be with us today for the way forward meanwhile keep working your angle.

Leo started walking away and Mike called him so he turned and looked at him.

Mike: thanks man,for everything.

Leo: we are brothers and brothers look out for each other.

He walked away and Mike got back to his shooting.

After Eva and I helped out with breakfast, we stayed with the family for a while as family friends started steaming in. Naomi had called Judith asking her if she could come back and help as there were so many people coming to morn with them. Eddy decided to leave and attend to other stuff and Eva had to leave too to take care of a few things before her flight the following day. Sean requested if I could stay with him until Judith came back so i agreed and after seeing Eva off I went back to help Sean with the visitors and Judith never showed up untill later there evening around 7:00pm.

Terrence had flown back into the country with Mary after her operation had been successful. Malika was waiting at the airport with Natalie who had been left in her care.

Natalie: mummy mummy!

She let go of malika's hand and runs towards them so Mary hugged her and Malika walked up to them.

Malika: welcome back Mrs Robert.

She handed her some roses then hugged her.

She hugged Terrence then they looked at each other and smiled.

Mary: thank you dear and thank you for taking care of my daughter.

Malika: don't mention it.

They left the airport and got home at around 8:00pm. Malika had cooked dinner so she served everyone and they talked as they are the an hour later put Natalie to bed and helped Mary to her room.

Mary: thanks my dear, I don't know what i could have done without you around.

Malika: you are like family to me. Get some rest and i will see you tomorrow.

Malika left Mary preparing for bed and went to the living room where Terrence was. She grabbed her handbag and phone..

Terrence: are you leaving already?

Malika: yes.

Terrence: I thought you were spending the night here?

Malika: no, not today. I need to be somewhere very early in the morning. Can you see me off?

Terrence: sure..

He got up and carried my bag instead.

Terrence: i will drop you off.

They walked to Terrence's car and after getting in he stared at her for a minute and smiled.

Malika: what?

Terrence: nothing. What did I miss?

Malika: well the biggest news in town is Niki Anwar's death.

Terrence: Niki is dead!

Malika: don't they have BBC news in China?

She smiled and Terrence shook his head..

Terrence: I kind liked that woman. She was in her own world.

Malika: Aaah,so those are the type of wonen you get attracted to?

Terrence: who wouldn't love that woman. Shes got the body, the hips, the smile, fine ass and brains too. She was simply a snack.

Malika smiled and looked away and Terrence looked at her and smiled.

Terrence: you are beautiful too you know.

Malika: but not as attractive as she was?

Terrence: stop competing with the dead. You are okay the way you are. I need to find Eddy. I need to sort out a few things with him.

Malika: I thought we were past that issue.

Terrence: i only dropped it because I was flying out of the country. Why are you so against me going after him?

Malika: I'm not. Just be careful while at it.

They had gotten to malika's place and she took her bag from the back seat and got off.

Malika: you want to come in?

Terrence: no. I think I need to go home and rest but I will see you tomorrow.

Malika: okay. Goodnight.

Terrence: goodnight.

Sean and I left their place say at around 8:20pm. I never thought I was going to stay there that long but I had to given the situation that was there. Niki's death had gotten the mum almost nuts as she kept breaking down in tears every now and then and I had to play the part of soothing her and talking some positive vibes into her. It had indeed been a hectic day and all I could think about was my bed.

Sean drove me home and as he was walking ne to the door we stopped and he held both of my hands in his.

Sean: i'm quite encouraged by everything you did for me and my family today.

Me: it was nothing. It is my pleasure being there for you because you are my baby and I love you so much.

Sean: i love you too Rayna. Please get some rest and I will see you tomorrow okay?

Me: okay. I'm sorry about Niki. I know just how close you too were.

I hugged him tight and as I was still holding him I saw a man in a ski mask drive by and he had his gun pointed at Sean so I turned Sean away from the gun and the bullets hit me instead. What i heard next was the car speed off and Sean calling me shaking me and leaving me running after the car.

Eva must have been in the house because when she heard the gun shots she got out.

Eva: Rayna! Oh my God, what has just happened.

Sean: somebody was trying to shoot at me snd she got in the way of he bullet.

I felt Sean carry me in his arms and after that,I have no idea what happened to me..

Three days later.

After Eddy's confrontation, he went to meet Mike and leo who had been waiting for him to get get over Niki's death so that they could focus on finding the person who was after his family.

Eddy walked into his house drunk and threw himself on the couch. Leo and Mike looked at each other and waited for him to say something but he did not. He instead got up and walked to the bar and got himself some whiskey again but this time Leo took the whiskey from him and walked gim back to the couch.

Leo: you need to rest buddy.

Eddy: no. There is no resting. Rayna is lying in that hospital bed and i don't know if she will ever get up. I want the person who did that to her dead.

Leo: do we have any leads?

Eddy: black X-trail KDF 224B, find the son of b***h who drives that thing and I want him dead or alive.

Mike: on it. I know someone who can run that number plate..

Sean got up from the table where he's was seated and put both hands in the pocket pacing across the room making his mother even more nervous.

Naomi: talk to me Sean, I've got a dead daughter in the cold freezer of a mortuary and the two of yiu want to kill each other over some girl so before I do a mass burial,i want to know what this is about. What has Rayna got to do with both of you?

Sean: like I said Rayna is my fiancee but according to Eddy he met her first. I don't know what happened between them but she chose me mum she choose me and Eddy never got to accept that. He is on my case because he feels like the bullet should have hit me instead of Rayna.

Naomi: you have been dating the same girl, what kind of a curse is on this family? How could she even do that to both of you,did she enjoy seeing the two of yiu fight over her?

Sean: it's not her fault mum. Eddy is the one with a problem. He keeps wanting what I have and of all the girls he could fall for, why Rayna?

Naomi: we haven't even buried your sister and here you are fighting over some girl. You both disgust me.

She picked her handbag and walked out leaving Sean standing there..

Mike got on to the number plate duty as leo tried to talk to Eddy who wasn't dinner but knew exactly what he wanted.

Leo: bro, I think we should concentrate on Niki's burial first before we find Rayna's shooter.

Eddy: Niki is dead and Rayna is not. She is fighting for her life because she was with a dumb ass who couldn't even protect her from a bullet. He even had the guts to tell me that Rayna pushed him out of the bullets way and it got her instead. I swear that if Rayna doesn't come out of that comma, I will kill Sean myself.

Leo: don't say that. Sean is your brother.

Eddy: my brother, no. An Anwar would never be a coward... There is a possibility that the person who killed Niki is the same person who shot at Rayna. Look ar it this way. Sean was his main target and not Rayna so if we get the owner of that car, we will not only have gotten Niki's killer but the man who wants my entire family dead.

A few minutes later Mike walks in from one if the bedrooms with his phone and he showed Eddy and Leo a photo that had been sent to him by his friend who helped run the number plate.

Mike: the car is registered under a guy that goes by the name Sadic mukoma. He was also able to ID him but he doesn't know where we can find him.

Eddy looked at the photo and put the phone on the table.

Eddy: Sadic Mukoma, he paused as Niki's boyfriend a few days ago then we came to learn that he is the son to our house help Judith.

Leo: wait, why would the son of your houshelp kill your sister and want all of you dead?

Eddy: i don't know, nkt unless Judith was not just a househelp but my father's side dish.

Mike: you are suggesting your father was screwing your househelp?

Leo: these s**t happens all the time but why would she still be working for you guys?

Eddy: that's what I'm going to find out.

He got up snd checked if his gun had bullets then tucked it behind his jeans.

Leo: should we come with you?

Eddy: no, I can handle this. Both of you can go to the hospital to watch over Rayna. I will join you when I'm done.

Mike got his keys and they all left the house as Eddy made a call as he got in his car.

Eddy: mum are you in the house?

Naomi: yes. Just got here.

Eddy: good. I'm on my way.

He hanged up and called Sean too.

Sean: what do you want?

Eddy:I know who killed Niki and i know who shot Rayna. Meet me at mum's asap.

He hanged up and drove off too.

Eddy got to his mum's place after twenty minutes or so and on his way in he checked if Judith was in the kitchen by pretending that he wanted a glass of juice.

Judith handed the juice with a smile on her face.

Eddy: taste the juice first.

Judith looked at her in disbelief.

Naomi heard Eddy's voice in the kitchen and joined him immediately having been anxious about his call.

Naomi: what's going on?

Judith: does he think I can poison him, I have been working for you for ages and I have never been this insulted.

Naomi: Eddy what's wrong with you?

Eddy: in all those years you have been working for us, did you ever sleep with my dad?

Naomi: what?

Judith: no, I've had enough.

She took switched off the gas and started walking away but Eddy took got his gun and pointed it at her..

Eddy: you are not leaving this damn house until you answer all my questions..... Did you ever sleep with my dad?.....
