SAVAGE AFFAIRS EPISODE THIRTEEN

Niki met up with Sadic as scheduled and like he promised he did an interview with her basing his questions on her life as her whole, her life as an mp's daughter, as a socialite and a business minded woman.

Sadic couldn't understand why Niki with all that beauty and class could allow herself to be associated with something that was considered a bit shameful in the society.

Sadic: the interview aside, why a socialite of all the things you could be?

Niki: why not a socialite?

Sadic: from the society point point of view socialites are women who use men to get money and by use I mean even go to an extent of selling their bodies so why did you choose that?

Niki: i don't know, i guess I was looking for attention and appreciation. Something i never got from my parents and from the two men I dated. My father provided everything I needed but not once did I feel loved. My first boyfriend left me because I was too beautiful and he never trusted that I only had eyes for him despite men coming after me sending me all sort of messages while the second one left after my dad died. todate, I've never known what I did wrong a few days before my father dad their were rumors of him engaging me from my friends only for us to attend an engagement party where he ended up engaging my friend..

After that, i lost interest in alot of things. I stopped dating and I decided that I was going to be in the list of top one hundred most influential people in Kenya and i didn't care how i was going to do it. Men started approaching me with good deals and as long as I was not stealing from anyone but using my body to get whatever I wanted i did. I've rolled with politicians, business men drug cartels and what I've achieved i wouldn't have had I sat down and cried myself tp sleep after everything that had happened. So why a socialite, i have no good answer for it but maybe it was for money and to let the fake friends I had know that I made it big without them.

Sadic: do they reach out to you?

Niki: most of them have even the exe's but the life I'm living now, not even all of them combined could give me.

Sadic: are you seeing someone?

Niki: not really.

Sadic: would you like to see someone?

Niki: what I have is painful memories of broken relationships so I honestly don't know.

She sealed that with a heartwarming smile

Niki was indeed popular and even Sadic couldn't tell what it was people loved about her but even the photos that she was posing for couldn't resist her charm.

He sat there watching her being taken photos and at some point he found himself smiling.

Eddy and Leo realized that Mike had cut ties with Sadic like he promised he would and Eddy decided to spare his life since he came out clean snd not pushed on with the plans to get rid of him.

Eddy: I need us to focus our energy on getting rid of Dru. We have to track him,corner him and kill him because onjijo might be dead but woyh Dru calling the shots he could be very powerful. He knows us in and out, he knows of hangout joints and I think he doesn't mean good for us especially if there is something in it for him.

Leo: what about the rest of the team?

Eddy: nothing changes except for changing locations. We set up in a new place and have all the deliveries done from there. We have one major delivery that is worth around 10million. JoJo gets it from us with that price and distributes it and that's good because it means we have no business with the police. Our guys should be discreet as possible. We don't need another h****k like the one that happened.

Leo: when do we shift base?

Eddy: i found a go down somewhere, i eas in negotiations with the guy and we might be getting our response any time from tomorrow. Then I also need you to do something.

Leo: i am listening..

Eddy: go to the bank and withdraw money from this account. When Robert died he left only four signatories, we need to give his wife like three million every year as long as the business is still running. That's for her daughter's education and their upkeep.

Leo: wasn't there a will?

Eddy: unfortunately not.bot even his wife knew the type of businesses he ran. Sll she knew was that he was a CEO of our company. A company that deals with car spares and stuff but we owe this to Robert. He was so good to us.

Leo: you are different.

Eddy: how do you mean?

Leo: there's just something about you that is slightly differently maybe the bullet bruised your heart just a little bit and made you slightly human.

He smiled.

Eddy: if I was dead and I left behind a wife and kid, i would love for them to be comfortable.... Robert didn't deserve to die.

Eddy: matasi should keep tracking Dru down, he is now our main priority. We eliminate him then we can deal with any other threat later.

Leo: are you looking into the guy that wants you dead?

Eddy: we don't even have a name. I know he will soon make his intensions known so what I will do is warn the family and tell them to be careful when moving around as I don't know who his next target is.

When they were don't taking leo pulled out a magazine from his bag and handed it to Eddy.

Leo: have you seen that?

Eddy looked at the magazine then when to the page with the full details and threw it on the bed. Damn it!

Leo: that is some real bad publicity right there.

Eddy: hand me my shirt. U think someone will end up dead, what was she even thinking?

Eddy got out of bed, put on his shirt and trouser then grabbed the magazine from the bed.

Leo opened the door and Eva who was listening by tye door almost fell in. Eddy and Leo both looked at her.

Eva: I'm sorry, wanted to let you know lunch is ready.

Leo looked at her suspecious then walked away followed closely by Eddy. Leo opened the door and I met them on their way out as i went in.

Me: what's happening?

Leo: hi, Rayna. It's good to see you.

He said finding his way to his car as Eddy stopped fo talk to me avoiding eye contact.

Me: you know you are not okay yet. Where are you going?

Eddy: that should be the least of your worries. I'm not your boyfriend so don't ask where I'm going..

He left me standing there and got in Leo's car.

As Sean was leaving instructions to Esther he also noticed the magazine and took it then went to the main page then asked Esther if he could take the magazine with him and she nodded and just like that he picked his car keys and left in a hurry.

After the interview Niki was perusing through the magazines that were at a stand where Sadic had kept alot of then and when she saw that, she asked Sadic if she could keep the magazine and he agreed. She got up, thanked Sadic for the interview and also picked her coat that was hanged as she was taking photos and left in a hurry.

From the look of things, it was going to be a little chaotic at the Anwar compound given the fact that Eddy and Sean had fought that morning and now their mother was in a big scandal that Eddy was feeling sll murderous about and who knows what was really going to happen? Would she even be there when they got home, what was she even thinking?........

Venessa and Malika after talking, they came to an agreement that they were not going to fight because none of them knew they were being played. Malika told venessa that Dru had promised her heaven and was just waiting for some money to go through and their lives would never be the same again.

Venessa: what money was he talking about?

Malika: I don't know but he is waiting for a deal to push through.

Venessa: there is no deal. Do you even know the type of a job Dru does?

Malika had no idea that Dru was a thug. He dressed in a suit every morning and she knew he worked in an office where Eddy Anwar the son of an mp worked in.

Venessa: he has been lying to you. Dru kidapped my lover and we had a deal that we milk the guy dry off all his money then he would give me my share but we lost the guy to other people who were also looking for him. They killed him and now Dru has nothing because he also screwed up his first team and now he is just a broke angry man looking for revenge and one thing I know is that if he goes after Eddy's crew he will end up dead.

Malika: is that the man you want to spend the rest of your life with?

Venessa:I should be asking you that since you are the one he wants to marry.

Malika: whats the name of this lover of yours you freely gave away?

Vanessa: Robert D'mosh.

Malika dropped the glass of water she was holding in her hand in shock something that made her sense there was something wrong. We're they sharing that one too?

When i got to the house, Eva looked stranded with her food and when i asked where the boys were going, she told me no one spoke to him. What could have been so urgent that Eddy couldn't wait until he was better and why would he even talk to me like that? Was he upset that i had gone tp see Sean, what was his problem if I did?

Eva: you look deep in thought are you okay?

Me: yes, I'm just worried about Eddy.

Eva: so what's going on, are you dating both of them?

Me: no I'm not. I choose Sean and he was so mad when he found Eddy hear.

Eva: you can't blame him, I mean anyone wouldn't jump in excitement if they found another man coming from their girls bedroom.

Me: don't you think I know that, what was I supposed to do with Eddy, throw him out?

Eva: what I'm saying is that once you have identify the brother you want to be with, let go of the other completely. I know you, you like complications and think you can fix Eddy but these things never end well. Let him go when you still can.

I nodded and gave Eva a brief smile before she got up to go get me some food. As much as I didn't want to admit it, Eva was right. I needed to stop Eddy from coming to my house and cut off communication completely.

As Eva was getting the food, her phone rang in the purse and she took time to come back to the living room so I decided to get the phone from her bag and when I opened it, I saw alot of money wrapped in bands and Eva walked in before I could even find her phone.

Eva literally raced to where I was, picked her bag form me and zipped it then stood there looking at me as if she was ready for a fight.

Me: I wasn't snooping, your phone rang..

She didn't even respond to that, she put her bag under her armpit, wore her shoes and took off. I got up and called after her but she didn't respond.

Eddy got home first and stormed into the house as usual and when Judith heard that she came rushing to see who it was.

Eddy: where is my mother?

Judith: she is upstairs in her room. She hasn't left since she got here.

Eddy left Judith there and rushed upstairs and soon after Sean's car drove in and seconds later Niki's was beeping at the gate. Sean heard how Eddy was shouting up stairs and he rushed up there and pushed him away from the door.

Eddy: your shouting is not helping. You want to break the door?

Eddy pushed him back and this time Sean came at him with a blow and they started fighting again.

Eddy: i know what this is about, it's about Rayna right?

He landed a blow on sean.

Sean: couldn't you find your girl,you always have a habit of taking what's mine. Sean pushed him to the wall and pressed the would and Eddy shouted in pain.

Eddy: i met her first...

He pushed Sean and he went rolling down the stairs and Niki was coming up so she screamed and their mother opened the ddoir to her bedroom and rushed down to where Sean was still lying. Eddy stood up there watching them attend to Sean who was not injured.

Sean: don't touch me mum!

He said getting up and Niki stood in between the two of them.

Naomi was now in tears after listening to her son's fight, Judith on the other hand had been so scared to get in between them that she just stood in watch from a distance and only came when Sean was thrown down the stairs..

Sean: how could you?

He asked finding grabbing Niki's magazine from where it had fallen and threw it too her face.

Sean: do you even care about us or what your wreckless life is doing to us, I can't even get a donor for the Anwar foundation because we don't have a name anymore.

Niki: mum why?

Naomi walked down the stairs and went to the living room and everyone followed her there.

Niki: walking away will not change what you did and you know that.

Eddy: stop it both of you.This is not how a problem is solved.

Sean: and what do you even care, you spend alot of your time running around killing people and in cells more than you do making a name for yourself.

Eddy: you act to righteous, haven't you ever made a mistake before?

Sean: no sleeping around with my brothers girl and certainly not using Viagra till I pass out in a hotel room with a woman three time my age. Did you all enjoy reading about that walk of shame from that hotel room? I talked to her always, like a son would talk to his mother but does she care about the hell she is putting us through?

Naomi: Sean please, I'm sorry!

She said getting on her knees moving towards Sean who stepped back. She turned to Niki who couldn't even look at her. Judith got her up and helped her sit on the couch.

Sean: if I walked into that office any day from today and find that boy in that office I will kill him. You are a disgrace to this family and i regret having you as a mother.

Eddy held Sean by the collar asking him not to speak to their mum like that but he pushed him back.

Sean: get your filthy hands off me and stay the hell out of my way.

Sean walked out and Niki ran after him.

Niki: Sean

Sean: not now Niki.

He got in his car and drove off.

Eddy and Niki sat there with their mother as Judith went to prepare dinner. Naomi had not stopped crying and she could stop asking for forgiveness.

Naomi: I don't know what got over me but forgive me my children I'm your mother and I'm asking you for forgiveness.

Niki: that's just the problem mum, you keep doing disgraceful things and we keep forgiving but that does not make us less popular or for the wrong reasons.you have become so shameless that you being that boy to your matrimonial home and have him sleep on daddy's bed mum! Couldn't you have gone somewhere that no one knows you? How did it even feel for a while now to be matched out almost naked for trying to kill someone's son with s*x?

Eddy: Niki you are not helping.

Niki: as much as you want to make her feel better, she shouldn't. Sean was right. You are a disgrace to this family..

She got up and walked to her room shouting and asking Judith to take her food in her room..

Naomi: are you going to leave me too?

Eddy: we all know I'm your least favorite son so don't act like you are happy having me here.

Naomi: don't say that Eddy, you are my son and I love you both equally.

Eddy: no don't get me wrong, I really don't care who your favorite is. All I know is that my mother is in trouble and i need to fix that mess. Why would you bring him here?

Naomi: we were drunk and it was a silly mistake.

Eddy: listen mum we know dad died and you have some desires that need to be fulfilled but atleast pick someone about your age. We are tired of making headlines all the time and for the wrong reasons. We are not all looking for fame.

Naomi: it will never happen again.

Eddy: so where do I find this boy?

Naomi: no, you can't kill him Eddy,

Eddy: because you love him?

Naomi: no. Because it will be another scandal yet those are the things you want me to avoid right?

Eddy got up told his mother he was leaving and walked out where Leo was still waiting in his car. He got in and asked him to drive and Leo did without asking what went down in there.

Eddy took his phone and called matasi asking him to find out everything he knew about an Anderson who works at Linda Jamii insurance company then send him all his details including where he lives.

Eddy: any progress on pinning Dru's location?

Matasi: not yet.

Eddy: get back to me as soon as you do.

Matasi: yes sir.

Dru was in matasi's house as Eddy made that call. Dru and matasi had been buddy's for so long that matasi couldn't just sell him out so matasi kept dodging Eddy so that Dru could figure out something..

Matasi: you don't have much time. Eddy will soon realise what's going on and none of us will walk out of it alive. He already suspected Mike and told me to look into it.

Dru: why would he suspect Mike?

Matasi: I don't know man. Maybe he also has some shady deals like you did.

Dru: who did he suspect him to be working for?

Matasi: some guy whom I can't ID but this is the number he gave me to see if they communicated at any point.

Dru took the number and saved it in his phone.

Matasi: whatever you are doing do it fast because the next time Eddy asks, i will have to give him your location.

Dru: it will not get to that.

Sean got to the hospital to have his arm checked after rolling down the stairs and as he walked to the reception area, people looked at him and some were talking but he never gave it much thought. He spoke to tye receptionist who took his details and asked him to wait for the doctor to call him in.

As he was seated there, some lady walked up to him exitedly and sat next to him.

Her: oh my God Sean Anwar?

Sean: yeah hi.

Her: my name is Maureen and I'm a big fan on Niki.

Sean: good to know.

Maureen: you have one interesting family.

Sean smiled and looked away knowing exactly what she was referring to then he got called in immediately and he left her sitting there.

Sean spoke to the doctor who told him he had twisted his arm after taking a look at it. The doctor massaged it with some ointment then put a sling on it.

Sean: for how long an I going to have this on?

Doc: you should be fine in a week.

He wrote me some subscription and handed it to me.

Doc: get the those medicine from the pharmacy and I wish you quick recovery Mr. Sean Anwar.

Sean: thank you...

Eddy was dropped back at my place by leo at around 8:15pm. I was actually surprised that he would even come back. Leo left and I sat there staring at him not having anything to tell him after telling me I shouldn't ask him anything, why was he even back at my place?

Eddy: I'm sorry about earlier. You didn't deserve that.

He said taking a seat next to me and his shirt was soaked in blood again.

Me: what happened to you?

Eddy: bumped into Sean yet again.

I looked at him wondering if they had gotten into another fight.

Eddy: you should go see him. He left home in a bad shape.

Me: why, what happened?

I asked getting the first aid kit and dressing his wound.

Eddy: he found out something about our mother that upset him. We also got into a fight over you.

I looked at him briefly then got back to dressing his wound.

Eddy: how does it feel to be that person every guy wants?

I didn't respond to that because I didn't know how. It wasn't my Joy to see them fight and I didn't know how not to care about either of them.

Eddy: you should go see him. He needs you.

Me: what about you?

Eddy: i will be okay here.

I tried finishing up but he held my hand and looked in my eyes.

Eddy: go!

He wrote down Sean's adress and gave me some money for ubber..

I got to Sean's place, sounded the door bell and shortly after he opened. He stared at me for sometime before letting me in and closing the door behind him.

Me: what happened to your hand?

I asked getting closer to him trying to touch him but he moved back.

Sean: what do you want?

Me: I thought you could need someone to talk to.

Sean: you are the last person I want to see right now. How did you even get here?

Me: Eddy gave me directions

Sean: he is still at your place?

Me: what does it matter, I'm here am I not?

Sean: okay, I'm not really in the mood to talk to you right now so just leave. I will talk to you when I'm ready.

Me: Sean!

Sean: I mean it. Thanks for coming but now is not a good time.

I don't want to argue so just like I came in, i walked out and heard the door slam behind me. I was angry at him i mean why did I waste my time coming all the way?

I got a cab and went back home. For some reason I was so emotional that when I got inside my house I burst in tears trying so hard not to be heard by Eddy but i think he heard the door so he came to see who it was.

Eddy: that was fast...

He said walking towards me and i quickly wiped my tears and as I was about to walk away, he took me in his arms and hugged me.

Eddy: what happened?

Me: he didn't want to see me. He threw me out of his house...

Eddy: he is just upset. He will come around...

He lifted my face to his and looked me in the eyes. He looked at my lips then moved in and pulled me closer and kissed me. I didn't stop him because I kind of felt like I needed what he was doing to me. I kissed him back and he lifted me up and we headed to my bedroom.....
