When we arrived to my house Duncan walked me to the door. "Thank you for a great date." he gushed as he moved a piece of hair behind my ear. "Look Duncan." I started as he kissed me again. I didn't experience fireworks, like people talked about but there was the stirring again. I didn't push him away but instead let him deepen the kiss further. He wrapped his arm around my waist and held me there. I couldn't tell if I was becoming lightheaded from not being able to breath or from something else. He pulled away from me but kept me close. "Damn Meadow, you are perfect." He voice was husky and out of breathe. "Look Duncan." I  tried again just ask the door swung open, lighting up the steps. "Ah Miss Black, Welcome home." Adian called looking between Duncan and I. I pulled further away from him, stepping inside the doorway. "Goodnight Duncan." I tight lipped smiled to him. I moved to the stairs and heard Adian speaking. "Goodnight Mr. Long." followed by the sound of the door closing. "Miss Black." Adian's voice carried over to me at the stairs. "Yes, Adian?" I spun around to look back at him. "Your father is in his study." Was his only reply as he moved towards the kitchen. Great my father wants to speak to me, no doubt it has something to do with my "Date".  After making my way up the stairs and down the hall i quietly knocked on the door to his study. "Enter." Was his response. I lightly cracked the door open and began to move into the dimly lit room . My father was hunched over his desk over some papers his glasses hung down from one hand as the other pinched the bridge of his nose. His shoulders we stiff, He was in a bad mood. "You wanted to see me?"  My feet moved quietly across the carpeted floor.  Without looking up he motioned me to take a seat across from him. The large velvet chair swallowed me as I settled in. "Meadow." His voice was strained and hoarse from the long day. "Meadow, I don't want you out so late, the city can be dangerous at night. " His voice had softened with worry. "I'm sorry." "I wasn't alone, and I didn't walk home." "Oh I am well aware of where you were, with Long's boy." more anger crept into his voice. "If he tries anything with you, I'll kill him. My mind went back to the multiple times Duncan puts his hands or mouth on me. I looked away from my father slightly embarrassed at the thought. "Noted." I replied. "Meadow, remember you are more than a high school girl, you can not let little pricks trick you." His teeth bared at the word pricks as disgust lined his face. Though I feel like Adian would't rat me out about the seen he interrupted a few moments prior, My fathers words made me feel like he knew. I felt shame meeting my fathers gaze again. "My daughter is better than being some Activist's whore." Disappointment was present in his words and face.  My brows furrowed as I feel his verbal smack across my face. "Yes father."  He held my gaze a moment longer before looking back down to his paperwork, waiving a dismissive hand to me. I stood and moved out the door quietly and softly shut the door behind me. I could feel my throat tightening as tears ran down my check.       It took me a while to fall asleep last night as I cried most of the time. I kept thinking back to his harsh words as I ran my brush though my hair. I stared into the mirror but looked past my reflection feeling more sadness then usual. "Miss Black." Came Ally's knock on the other side of my door. "Come in." I called to her setting my brush down. "Good morning, Miss." She said laying my uniform across my bed and placing my breakfast tray on the table. "Anything, I can help you with this morning?" She asked as she wondered around picking up after me.  "No, thank you ." I said as I began getting dressed. "I know your father can be crude but he does love you." I heavily doubted it but I managed a small smile and thanked her. She moved out of the room and soon I followed  moving down the stairs to meet with Aiden, who was standing at the door.  "Morning Miss." Her greeted as he opened the door letting rays of sunlight in. I tight lipped smiled at him and we made our way to the car. The ride to school was silent as I stared out the window in thought the whole way.  When we pulled up to the curb I noticed a tall blonde leaning at the top of the stairs. With a very enthusiastic group hanging on his every word. Great, I thought to myself as Adien opened my door. "Miss." He nodded. I nodded in return and made my way up the steps quickly as to avoid Asher.  I couldn't help my eyes as they wondered over to get a glimpse at him. His eyes locked with mine and he tore away from his groupies, while one was in mid sentence. "Hey, Meadow." His words turned me to butter. "What, do you want?" I asked picking up my pace. "We have class together." He moved to open the door for me.  "Okay." I kept walking towards first period. "Honestly I didn't think I'd have to worry about Duncan Long stealing your attention." His words sounded like acid on his tongue.  I looked over at him. "Were just friends." I countered as my checks flush from the memories of last night, from his hand on my thigh to his mouth on mine.  His eyes darkened. "Ya? Well I'll gladly tell him that." More acid laced his words. I stopped and turned towards him." What's with you? We just meet, why do you care?" He stepped closer to me.  His eyes still dark, bore into mine. "I told you I want to get to know you." His expression softened. "Did he force himself on you?" The abruptness confused me and it took me a moment to realize what he meant. "No" I said automatically still confused by his question. "So you wanted him to kiss you?" He looked mad but his eyes still held softness as his gaze never wavered. "No, but." I spoke softly not sure what to say. "He wasn't forceful." I finished not sure what I believed, I had never told him to not kiss me. I had even kissed him back. "I don't trust him." Asher said more to himself then me as we started walking again. We entered first period and he took the seat next to me. Asher was very confusing to say the least, he was definitely a sight to bare, and seemed to show a strong interest in me, but why? Honestly I'd be lying to myself if I said that I wasn't also interested in him as well. Everything about him caused my body to react from his eyes to just how he held himself, he was s*x on legs. So once again why show an interest in me? Asher wasn't the only puzzle that needed solving unfortunately, I still needed to decide what to do about Duncan. I mind swam back and forth between thinking about the kiss me and Duncan shared and fantasizing about what Asher's lips would feel like. What was wrong with me? My dad was wrong about one thing in this moment I was acting just like a boy crazed High school girl.
