Move nimbly even though Shane's vision is blurry about rain. They are still fighting each other. Shane keeps the dagger from flipping away from him, while Daniel still tries to kill Shane.
Unfortunately, the pool of water on the wooden floor made the footing slippery until the tragedy occurred. Daniel's steps wobbled until his back landed on the floor. Shane was right in front of him, holding Daniel's arm trembling as the dagger stuck in the side of its owner's stomach. His groans were heard. Daniel was clearly in pain as the dagger dug deep into his body. "Help," he hissed.
A terrible incident that will leave an imprint on Shane's memory, leaving him with a traumatic side. He couldn't even move, looking at Daniel who couldn't bear the pain.
"Shane," he called. "Help."
He saw Daniel wanted to pull out the cold object himself to ease the pain. Is it possible to end it?
Shane came closer, then said, "I-I'll call the ambulance."
It feels meaningless. Daniel grabbed Shane's hand. His hands were stained with blood so that occasionally, Shane rubbed them down the side of his jacket. His eyes welled up with tears, full of fear that gripped her.
"You... killed me, right?" said Daniel, weakly.
Shane couldn't think anymore. Daniel swiftly removed the dagger from the side of his stomach, then his last groan knocked him out of consciousness. Instantly killed. Shane was still silent by the pool, then in a hurry to remove his jacket which was stained with blood. Like a nightmare.
He saw several people die in just a matter of minutes.
"Papa!"
The screams were heard from inside the villa. Joana's voice. Shane is immersed in this terrible fate scenario. Then the woman appeared at the door, standing in disbelief. "Joana."
Screaming, Joana's cheeks were stained with the blood of her family who died in the tragedy. She approached Daniel, holding the side of his stomach which was also emitting the thick red liquid.
"Daniel!" She screamed.
Shane got up, fixing his gaze on the twinkle of hatred that shone in Joana's beautiful beady eyes. Her tears were like rivers, the woman walked slowly towards him. "Murderer!"
Shane's eyes widened at Joana's sarcastic accusations. He approached the woman. However, his ex-girlfriend pushed his hand away.
"No, Joana. I didn't do anything."
Joana screamed while pulling her blonde hair. Occasionally she staggered until Shane had to refute her.
"You're drunk?"
Even in a semi-conscious state, Joana believes this is a bad dream. She fell to his knees on the floor beside Daniel's stiff body. Shane hugged her tightly, embracing the pain so he could understand his ex-lover's grief.
"I'm sorry. Really. I'm with you, Joana. Calm down!"
The woman has drowned in anger, hatred, and the pain of being left behind by the family she loves. Her consciousness was not full when he picked up the dagger that was at the side of her seat.
"Joanna, I-"
Shane's breath seemed to be blocked in his throat, feeling a throbbing pain when the cold object stabbed right in his solar plexus. The woman hissed loudly even though she was crying.
"Murderer!"
Faint sounds again harsh accusations in his ear. Shane just dropped his chin on Joana's tiny shoulder, enduring the pain and trembling as she made his wound even more serious. Hatred locked her logic in a drunken stupor.
"You hate my family, right? But why, you have to kill my dad?!" growled Joana.
The rain is a witness of two hearts that have been bound by fate. Joana drew the dagger, then got up with staggering steps. Shane fell down while holding his wound. Groaning in pain while curling up on the side of the floor.
Joana held on to her footing by holding on to the side of the wall. She found Shane looking dimly at her with blood flowing from the side of his mouth.
"Joana."
Hatred entwined in his gaze. The anger of the woman who had been loved, then betrayed him cruelly. Shane propped his arms on the floor so he could get up.
"Jo," he called softly.
Shane is sure Joana will not betray him. The woman was in a drunken state, then found a terrible fate that attacked her sanity repeatedly. With difficulty Shane stood up, approached Joana before losing consciousness later. He will die because the blood was flowing non-stop.
"I love you, Joana."
The woman's eyes were not alert anymore. Full of hate, full of anger. There is no love radiated there. Shane looked painfully into the dim light, his eyes filled with tears. "Why did you kill my dad?!" she screamed again.
Just like Shane, Joana also hopes that this is just a bad dream. The father she loved, died at the hands of the man she once fought for. The relationship that once existed eventually turned into a trail of nightmares.
"We shouldn't have met, Shane. I didn't even wish you were in this world too."
The pain left behind, Shane was content to swallow all the hatred. Even if he had to die, there was no feeling of love left. Just pain. Recording clearly the twinkle of the woman's terrible eyes before him. Also the way he once again threw the dagger at Shane. His weak strength remaining, Shane tried to rest on the grip on Joana's wrist.
The tip of the dagger stuck into the side of his chest. It wasn't too deep, but his heart had indeed been broken ever since the woman accused him of being a murderer.
'I hate you, Joana.'
The murmur resonated with the heart. The tip of the dagger that plunged into his chest, would have scarred him forever, if he had the time to live.
Shane manages to escape, enjoying the pain in his chest, the physical and emotional pain caused by the betrayal. Shane's footing wobbled until he slipped and fell into the pool. The water ripples turned red. Shane wants to end it all at the bottom of the pool, because he doesn't have the strength to swim anymore.
'Even if I still get a second chance at life, please never tie my fate again with Joana, God.'

Three months ago. (MAY 2022)
“Your dad will be home this weekend, Joana!”
Joana Abigail, a 23-year-old girl, stopped her breakfast activities when Anita, the stepmother, said that her father returned from his business trip every three months. Her beautiful beady eyes ignored Anita's gaze that was staring at her sharply.
The beautiful woman is her father Leandro's young wife about three years ago after her mother's death.
Joana still hasn't accepted her father's former secretary as her new mother. He once heard of their affair until his mother died of illness and betrayed.
“I know, Auntie. I'm the only daughter. He talked to me first.”
“Be nice to me in front of your dad later. He loves me very much and you will only make trouble in your life if you are still stubborn.”
Joana clenched her fingers, her jaw tightened at her stepmother's haughty attitude.
“Do as you please, Anita. Even if you do everything you can to arrange my dad's inheritance to be Daniel's, I don't care.” Joana left the dining table, went up to the second floor because she had to get ready to go to campus immediately.
Switching clothes with a lilac-colored satin shirt combined with a knee-length skirt, the look is very simple even though she is the only daughter from Leandro and Karen's first marriage.
While with Anita, Leandro brought up a son named Daniel. Later, Joana found out that her father had been having an affair for a long time, considering that she and Daniel were only five years apart.
“Is this time, I try to talk to dad again about my relationship with Shane? I'm afraid he still rejects our relationship."
