Bab 3

1044 Words
The cynical conclusion was given by Shane to quickly approach his motorbike in the outer court. He tied the cardboard box to the back seat, preparing to drive to the Leonard Family's house even though the weather was quite cloudy during the day. Upon arrival, Shane stopped his motorbike in front of the high gate of the house. The door is always tightly closed for a poor man like him. "Can I meet Joana?" Shane asked the security. The security guard just shook his head. Looking shady, pitying Shane, who still insists on meeting his ex-girlfriend. "Why so stubborn? Miss Joana and the Leonard Family would never want to see you." "I just wanted to return something to Joana." The officer was silent for a long time, then said, "Miss Joana and the others are at the villa for three days. You can come when they come back." Three days. The time was too long and Shane's heart would be torn apart by hatred that shook his soul. He must destroy all the memories that remind him of the beautiful daughter of the conglomerate. "Can I get the address of the villa?" he asked. "It's quite far from here." "Please sir." After getting the address of the villa, Shane sped through the highway. There is still a long time to dusk, a considerable distance can be traversed rather than waiting. Since then her cell phone has been ringing. It is believed that it was Reiner, the man who claims to be his older brother who has been constantly undermining him lately. "Shanes!" The black car managed to overtake it until it was right beside. "Where are you going?" Shane didn't pay attention, he accelerated his motorcycle to quickly arrive to meet Joana. Two hours taken. Even though he took shelter when it rained heavily, the motorbike finally arrived at the villa. "I want to end it all, Joana!" He roughly wiped his face which was stained with rain water, brushing his hair back for a moment. Strengthening the heart, humming the pain to still be able to say goodbye. 'After this, I will go far away. Remembering you will only hurt me, Joana.' Shane came down carrying the small cardboard box, stopping briefly in the courtyard which was quite far from the villa. Bad weather which may be the reason there is no lighting around. There was no one on guard in the courtyard. The twilight bias fills the horizon. 'Is he in there?' Shane took out his cell phone to call Joana. Of course the woman didn't pick up until Shane only published a sarcastic smirk on his lips. "Are you this arrogant from the start, Miss? Is having a relationship with a poor man like me also part of your fun? Yes, I'm the stupid one for suffering alone while you will only laugh at my feelings," he concluded coldly. Shane was silent for a long time, then he heard screams and commotion from inside. He dropped the cardboard box, worried about the dreadful screams. 'Joana?' Hastily Shane ran to find out. The dim light made it difficult for him to search, plus the roar of lightning that hit the sky. "Joana!" he shouted. Shane stumbled to the side of the floor. His eyes widened at the body covered in blood as the sky's lightning cleared his vision. "Uncle Leonard?" His heart was pounding. It was clear that the old man's stomach was bleeding from the stab with a sharp object. Shane's eyes trembled as he scanned the surroundings. Not only Joana's father, a woman also lay lifeless with the same wound on her body. "Aunt Viola?" Horrible nightmare. Shane's jacket was stained with blood as he crawled to the other side. He saw Olive lying there too. Joana's cousin was the only one who had been really nice to her so far. "O-Oliv?" Shane held Olive's head on his lap, checking his pulse and breathing against his nose. Grateful because there is still life that he has even though he is unconscious. "Olive, wake up! What happened?" Shane tried to wake him up by tapping his cheek. Just worrying without realizing what bad things happened to him. Not long after, he saw Daniel, Joana's half-brother, standing with his hands covered in blood. Also his white shirt which is almost perfect red. Followed by Anita who looked furious because she found Shane as an eyewitness to the incident earlier. "Finish him, Daniel!" Anita ordered. The fight is unavoidable. Shane fought the young man's punches blindly. Even though his condition was not yet fully stable, he was also drenched in rain and tired, Shane had no choice but to fight. "Damn it!" The curse sounded amidst the pain Shane held the side of his stomach when Daniel kicked him hard. Fight for life or death. In fact, Daniel and his mother intend to get rid of him because he witnessed the tragedy. Even though he doesn't fully know, Shane believes he is a stumbling block for both of them. "Where's Joana?" Shane hissed. He's just worried about his ex-girlfriend. Even Leonard, who has always been in power, must fall at the hands of the woman he has always trusted. Of course Joana's life is in danger. "Just mind your life! She's out on a date with her future husband." Daniel gripped the side of Shane's jacket, dragging him out onto a side court. The rain continued to fall and ripples were clearly printed on the surface of the swimming pool. "You die!" Shane managed to dodge when Daniel was about to shoot his dagger at him. Chasing like crazy, Shane tries not to die at the hands of the psychopath. 'Joana!' he thought. If he died here, then no one would ever find him. Reiner, who had been chasing him earlier, seemed to have lost track when Shane was speeding down the road. His life is now on the edge. "Unlucky!" Even though his eyes were bloodshot, Shane held Daniel's arm as hard as he could. Raising his hand up to avoid the dagger stabbing into him. "You must die! If I knew from the start that you would only make things difficult for me, I would definitely finish you off!" he growled.
