His mouth opened and closed as he gaped at me.
"How did-how did you get back here so fast?"
I perched my gun on my chin and gazed up as if I was thinking. "What? Do you mean from Eureka?" I asked in a teasing yet venomous tone.
"I-I saw you. I watched you on the traffic cameras. You should be ten hours away" He sounded outraged as he circled his table to come closer to me, as if he thought I'd step back. It was obvious that for once in his life, he was the one who got played.
"Oh her? No" I faked a laugh."That was my dear friend." His confusion was evident, so I simply stepped further in his large office as I proceeded to explain.
