Meanwhile, in Iran several petrol tankers had reached their destinations. One of them adjacent a pier at the military base of Chabahar was about to unload its concealed cargo. Moored in a dry dock opposite the pier was the HMS Enterprise she had a watch on board, but they weren’t British Sailors, they were members of the Republican Guard.
The ship’s crew, including the captain were being held in a military prison some fifty miles south of Tehran and were due to be led into court the following morning, to face charges of spying on the Republic of Iran.
