The next morning, things didn’t seem any clearer or brighter. The weather outside was wet, grey and nasty, and inside the atmosphere was little better.
There were potentially a dozen or more individuals, outfits, or groups that had the motive for the killings it was an impossible job to determine which, if any, it was. The only thing they could do was to wait, and perhaps use the data as leverage.
There was also the police, and how much to tell them? By now they must be actively looking for Stella. The police were also presumably going to interrogate both Isobel and Adam about their whereabouts at the time of the deaths.
