Is this really all I am to him? Just a tool he can use and discard whenever he pleases? How foolish of me to think he had changed. I should have known... He's still the same cold-hearted monster.
I wanted to scream, to demand answers, but before I could even part my lips, his hand wrapped tightly around my neck, pulling me dangerously close to him.
"I'm stepping out with my beta," he hissed, his eyes dark and filled with warning. "On no account should you leave this room. If you dare disobey me... I'll show you exactly what I'm capable of."
With that, he released me and stormed out, not even sparing me a second glance.
I gasped for air, my heart pounding as the door slammed shut behind him.
