Once she had submitted the required paperwork and gathered details regarding the next steps of the treatment, she headed toward the hospital pharmacy. She wasn't blind to Samuele's advances; she understood his feelings perfectly. The fact that he remained so unfailingly polite—even after she had quietly rebuffed his attempts to impress her—only caused her respect for him to deepen.
