“I guess he does clean up well,” Mrs. Lauren speaks as she signs on a check which Xavier hands over to her.
“Don’t say that out loud Lauren. Maybe he is some rich Arabian prince pretending to be poor,” Mr. Taylor teases.
Kevin ignores their comments. He didn’t come for either one of them and he wouldn’t let them force him into saying something he would possibly regret doing.
“Morgan. I have something for you to do,” Xavier’s echoes across the room.
Aria isn’t comfortable with leaving Kevin alone with the three of them but if she has learned anything from working for Xavier, you never want to disobey him.
She walks up to his side, her notepad is on the table beside him. She picks it up, waiting for his instructions but he says nothing for a moment.
