CHAPTER 31
Xavier stares at his computer screen, heartbroken and devastated.
Charleston had taken to his official business page to announce that he had finally sold off the one piece of land that he had his eyes on for the longest time.
His hotel plans and dreams were now nothing but a waste of time. He slams the laptop shut and picks up his phone.
He dials Aria’s number, but she doesn’t take his call. Why would she, anyway? He gave her a three day break and now he wishes he didn’t.
“Maybe I should have listened to her,” he whispers, feeling guilty for turning down her request.
He looks at his wristwatch, it’s almost time for his board meeting and he knew everyone had just one question in mind.
Who did Charleston sell his land to?
