He stretched out the box of tissues to her.
"It's all in the past, Aria," he said and encouraged her with a duck of his head to take the tissue from him.
Aria sniffed in amd looked at the outstretched box of tissue. Her tongue darted out to moisten her dry lips.
Her face was a mess anyway so she took the offer, stretching out her hand to take it but just before her index and thumb could grasp the tiny edge of a tissue and pull it out of its box, Xavier snatched his hand away.
"Uhn-uhn!" He placed the box of tissue back on the desk.
Aria sent him a confused look, her trimmed brows curving up.
