Everyone in the living room did not expect that Jennifer would run out in the pouring rain like this. Leon Nichole was extremely worried and angry. Stefan immediately went to look for her, with Jenna following behind.

But Jennifer disappeared in the rain. They didn't know where she went.

Seeing Stefan 's worry, Jenna looked very concerned.

"This is my fault. Actually, Jennifer is suffering from depression. I shouldn't have done this to her."

Stefan turned around and saw Jenna wanting to cry. He immediately comforted his future wife.

Stefan glanced at the misty rain outside and felt a little worried. "Jennifer is still young, but she also has a lot of pride. Where did she go in the middle of a heavy rain like this? No, I have to find her.."

Jenna didn't want Stefan to go search for Jennifer.

Jenna's explanation was very reasonable, so Stefan returned to the living room with her.

Jennifer stared blankly for a few moments.

At this moment, Jennifer's body trembled violently. Suddenly, in her mind echoed her strict grandfather's voice, her silent grandmother, her cousin leaning on Stefan 's arm, her cold-hearted uncle, and the man who broke her heart...

Back then, Stefan had promised to marry her. Stefan 's parents even met with her parents to discuss their wedding. Initially, both sets of parents agreed to hold a wedding ceremony after graduation.

However, at that time, Jennifer's parents had a car accident, and she suffered from depression.

After seeking medical treatment for a long time, Jennifer's depression did not improve. Leon Nichole then decided to send Jennifer to United Kingdom. Jennifer studied while receiving treatment in a new environment.

During her three years abroad, her depression finally healed. But as soon as she returned to her hometown, she received a strong blow.

Thinking of this, Jennifer accidentally fell on the concrete road. She slowly stood up and ran down the mountain.

As she passed the guard station, the guard was surprised to see Jennifer's figure outside the window.

Half an hour later, the new guard received a phone call from Jenna, saying that Jennifer was missing. Now, how could he know where Jennifer had gone?

Jennifer walked out of the villa area. In the rain, she stood silently without any destination.

After a while, the rain still hadn't stopped. Jennifer began to calm down and finally decided to find shelter first.

When she reached into her pocket, she realized that she had forgotten to bring her wallet.

Jennifer laughed, "Maybe I lost it on the way..."

She took out her phone and wanted to call someone. But, the first contact she saw was Stefan , Jenna, and her grandfather...

Jennifer felt sad again.

After scrolling through her contacts again, she saw the names of her grandparents on her mother's side.

But, they lived in the neighboring city. She didn't want to worry them either.

Jennifer didn't know who to ask for help. Suddenly, she remembered Stella, her friend from high school. "Stella is always cheerful and stands up for justice. Maybe she will come to help me, right?" Jennifer thought.

Still in the rain, Jennifer tried to find Stella's name.

After seeing Stella's name in the contact list, she was very happy and immediately called her.

However, the screen of her phone was blurry due to the heavy rain, and she didn't realize that she dialed the wrong number.

Jennifer immediately put her phone to her right ear. She didn't know that the name appearing on her phone's screen was Adrian Queen.

The call was answered immediately, and Jennifer asked softly, "Hello, is this Stella? It's Jennifer. Right now, I don't know where to go. Stel, can you come and pick me up?"

Then, a male voice sounded, "Where are you right now?"

Jennifer was shocked, "Does she have a boyfriend?"

Jennifer didn't feel that anything was wrong. Then she looked around and hesitatingly said, "I also don't know the name of the place. But, I'm not too far from the Victoria villa area. There's a pharmacy next to me..."

Jennifer tried to explain again, but she heard a busy tone coming from her phone. After hanging up her phone, she realized that her phone had died.

In the midst of heavy rain, several pedestrians hurriedly crossed the flooded street.

The girl's boyfriend touched his hair and walked past Jennifer. "Yes, even in such heavy rain, she's not carrying an umbrella and still squatting there. Let's go quickly."

After hearing the mockery from the pedestrians, Jennifer realized how embarrassing she was.

She hugged her knees, 'It seems better if I'm really crazy. At least when I hear Stefan and his relatives' words, I wouldn't feel this sad.'

Now, she didn't have any money at all, and her phone was even broken, so she couldn't go home. She could only hope that Stella could find her...

When Adrian Queen wanted to ask for her address, Jennifer already hung up. Damn it...

"Haz, check the owner of the number 135...7860, I want to know their current location."

On the other end of the phone, Haz was a little confused after hearing Adrian Queen's command. He had never seen Adrian Queen so urgent before...

Haz quickly found the location of the phone's owner in less than five minutes. "Sir, she is on East Street of Victoria Villa. I have sent you a more specific location."

After receiving the location point, Adrian Queen immediately got into his black car. He rushed out of the parking lot and headed straight to Jennifer's location.

Once he arrived at East Street, Adrian Queen immediately parked his car. He brought a black umbrella and started looking for Jennifer.

Then, Adrian Queen saw a slender figure squatting under a street lamp. Yes, it was Jennifer.

Jennifer was drenched in rain, and her hair was a mess. Although she was still wearing the same clothes, Adrian Queen could hardly recognize her.

'What's wrong with this woman's brain?! Why didn't she find a place to take shelter?' Adrian Queen was annoyed. He quickly walked towards Jennifer.

Jennifer, who was still squatting there, felt someone approaching. She looked up, and her vision seemed a little blurry. She only saw a tall man wearing a light gray coat standing in front of her.

When she realized that he wasn't Stella, Jennifer felt a little disappointed, and then she fell backwards.

Adrian Queen tried to catch her, but Jennifer had already fallen.

'Did she faint from being in the rain for too long?!

He quickly took off his jacket and put it on Jennifer's body.

A gentle and caring attitude, as if Jennifer was his entire world.

'Is he shooting a movie?' the girl thought.

Adrian Queen brought Jennifer into the car and laid her down on the back seat.

He then slowly reclined the seat. He searched for a comfortable position for Jennifer and fastened her seat belt carefully.

After returning to the driver's seat, Adrian Queen started the car's engine and drove off quickly.

It didn't take long for them to arrive at the Grey island area.

Before Adrian Queen's car arrived, the island guard had already opened the gate for him.

Adrian Queen drove into his house. After parking the car, he immediately carried the unconscious Jennifer.

He carried her upstairs and gently put her down. Suddenly, Jennifer reached out to Adrian Queen, and it seemed like her lips were moving. But Adrian Queen didn't hear her words clearly.

Jennifer furrowed her brows. Right now, she felt very painful...

Adrian Queen slowly approached Jennifer's face.

Jennifer mumbled, "Don't go, don't leave me..."

"Haz, I'm at the home now. Bring a set of women's clothes and shoes, and tell Mis Liz to come here."

After ending the call, Adrian Queen took a bathrobe from the closet, then filled the bathtub on the upper floor with warm water for Jennifer.
