Chapter 9- Changed

Krystal (POV)

It has been a couple of days, and no pain. In fact, Liam has been different. Showing me around and introducing me to people, and even planning to have an announcement soon about our mating. At night, it has been blissful, with lots of lovemaking and cuddling.

I know I shouldn’t complain, but I am puzzled about what happened to make him a dream mate. He has been everything I have always wanted in a mate. We go for walks, talk, and even laugh at jokes. I hope this lasts. This is a side of Liam I want to see a lot more of. This is a Liam I could develop feelings for.

We are walking in the garden and enjoying each other’s company. We are holding hands, and I am enjoying the sparks and tingles that flow through my body from our touch. He turns me towards him as we stop and lifts his hand to brush my hair from my face as he looks into my eyes.

I feel tears brim in my eyes as he says this, and I can hear and see how sincere he is. He then looks into my eyes and confesses, “Kris, I have a problem and a weakness. I like women, but I don’t want to continue to hurt you, so I promise to try harder to be what you need me to be.”

A single tear escaped and trailed down my cheek as he wiped it away with his thumb. I stood on my tiptoes and slammed my lips to his in a kiss to show that I believed him.

I pulled away only to say, “I forgive you.” Then I kissed him again as he held me tight against him.

We break apart as we hear a woman say, “There you are, Liam. I have not heard from you in days.”

“Elaina.” He turns towards her but keeps his arm around me. “Let me introduce you to my Luna and your new Queen, Krystal Walters. Krystal, this is a long-time friend of mine, Elaina Morgan.”

“Oh, Your Majesty,” Elaina says, bowing.

Looking at her and how familiar she seems to my mate, even though they are long-time friends, I cannot help but feel this is the woman he slept with when we first arrived. I just nodded my greeting to her, and Liam finally said, “Well, we will be seeing you, Elaina. The Queen and I have something to do.”

“Yes, of course, Your Majesties,” she says as we turn, walking hand in hand, and walk back into the castle and towards our suite of rooms.

Liam leans down and whispers in my ear. “I want you.” Then he kissed my neck as he closed the door to our room, making me catch my breath.

I turn in his arms. “Then take me, my King.”

He lifts me by my *ss and holds me against the wall. I wrap my legs around his waist as my skirt rides up, exposing my panties. His Beta sits to his right as he is second to the King or Alpha, and the Gamma, and his mate sits next to the Beta. His Beta Dante has yet to find his mate and hopes to find her. I hope he does. He is a nice guy and deserves to be happy.

“I think we should have the announcement done in two days,” Liam was saying as the topic was brought up.

“I agree, Alpha Liam. The people need to know who their new Queen is,” said Dante as he took a bite of his food.

“What do you think, Krystal?” Liam asked me as he cut a piece of steak on his plate.

“Yeah, I am all for it. I would love to meet the people,” I said, smiling.

“Why don’t we go shopping tomorrow?” Asked Kellie. “I need a new dress for the occasion.”

I smiled at her, “Sounds like fun. I guess I could use a new dress to wear for the announcement,” I said as I took a sip of my wine.

“Then it’s a girls' day. This is going to be fun,” Kellie says, smiling.

“That it will be,” I said as I finished eating.
