“Luke?” I heard the familiar sweet voice. I was glad I had already cut the call. I didn’t want Leah knowing about it now. I feared how she would react if she knew it.
“Yeah?” I said and looked up at her. She was smiling but then she frowned as she walked towards me.
“You seem worried.” She mentioned it and I chuckled.
“With the business thriving at this speed, I’m afraid my wife and I won’t have much time to spend together.” I teased her.
“We work together, dear husband.” She retorted and I nodded with a smile.
I glanced at my phone one last time before getting back to work to distract myself from the previous phone call.
