LEAH'S POV

Relinquishing all my emotions aside, I immediately pulled him up from the box. He was covered in sweat and was burning with a high fever.
"Matt, call a doctor! Right now!" I screamed as I took the little boy and rushed with him to our room.
It felt like running away was the only option I had. I laid him down on our bed and undressed him.
I ran to the bathroom and brought a wet towel. I wiped his forehead and his entire body. Tears fell through my eyes as I was cleaning him but all I did was wipe him.
I ran out of the door to the corridor.
"Get me cold water in a bowl!" I yelled to no one in particular. I just hoped someone would listen and bring me what I needed for the little boy.
"Don't worry...don't worry, Brandon. It'll be fine." I coaxed the little boy.
