Snow stood still. It was a silent battle between her and her inner self. She was desperately looking for a way to bypass Bruce and leave the room. She watched him for a while to see if he would doze off while watching the news, but he was still awake, and it seemed like he was really interested in whatever they were talking about on TV.
She couldn't reach out to her phone either because it was on the centre table, close to Bruce. She caught a glimpse of Bruce dozing off, and she tiptoed towards the door, but he woke up and saw her trying to leave the suite.

It was like deja vu; she knew she had heard those words from Bruce in the same situation. He told her those same words the time she tried to run away from her father’s house, and he caught her. She began to stutter.
