Chapter 37 In the back of his mind, almost hidden beneath fear and worry, Calvin wondered if he could ever find his way back to the cabin they’d first met in. He followed Kerwin, Seetha, and a silent Vasan down endless twists and turns, with no features he could see to mark their path. Only an unchanging series of curving white walls and flat black floors, with more of the same jutting off in every direction. The dry air felt like sand through his sinuses, and his eyes and skin felt stretched and tight.
