Chapter Twenty-Two Old Windsor, Surrey, England The Major enjoyed a relaxing evening. His manservant, Chalmers, had gone for the night and he was home alone. Chalmers had left his employer a tray of cold cuts and cheeses with a selection of breads. The Major loved nothing more than spreading ripe brie on a hunk of crusty French bread and washing it down with a glass of merlot. The Major was ensconced in his library, working on his memoirs.
