Nobody could possibly know better than I did that I had shut off the electric fence myself, or that I had personally contacted the Sōhei Faction and asked them to attack immediately. Even so, it irritated me greatly to be blamed for what had happened, because I hadn’t been given any real authority and therefore should not have been held responsible for any failures in security.
