CHAPTER 6
The lake beyond the Pines was the destination for the spacecraft.
This was a previously unseen and unknown land.
Once the craft arrived at the lake, the men on board led by Virginia moved the Goddess of Saphnoroc off the spaceship and had the statue placed on a high pedestal on a mountain in the valley.
Once the Statue was installed on the high podium, it seemed that the hills came alive. There was a stirring of movement behind the trees and bushes on the hills in this hidden world beyond the pines.
Groups of men, women and children wearing brown clothing, like those made from animal hide, came into view climbing down the hills to the land below.
There must have been about a thousand people who now formed a long procession towards the statue of the Goddess of Saphnoroc.
