CHAPTER 3
It was three nights ago when Jake awoke to hear a loud boom in his room. He jumped out of bed and switched on the lamp on his bedside table. The lamp did not come on.
Everything looked alright in his room as he looked around his room in the darkness to which his eyes were now adjusted to. The skies were still dark and he could hear sirens going off in the night. Jake could hear the sounds of ambulances and police cars outside on the streets. Something was wrong, something was very wrong. He pulled the bedroom curtains and he could see the lights of vehicles on the streets. All the streets lights were off on the streets.
