Chandler P.O.V

As the 2 black figures got close I realized it was Camilla and Some other dude. I left the cops outside the door to come in later.

"Well Well Well. Chandler and Daquan." Camilla said.

"Camilla give me my children. They are innocent people." Daquan said.

"I come to hurt the innocent." She added.

"What did we ever do to you? Answer that for me"I asked.

"Daquan took Andre from me. He was mine until this gay nigga came alone." She said pointing to him.

"Andre you are single now. So why is she still on this shit." Daquan asked.

They both shrugged and she pulled a gun out.

"COPS. NOW."

It looked like everything was happening in slow motion. She fired towards Daquan but I jumped in front of him. She hit my in the arm and I fell to the floor. All I remember was cops talking, my kids screaming, and an ambulance. Before I blacked out.

Daquan P.O.V

I cried and cried on the side of Chandler's bed. This is the second time he got shot in his arm. My kids were sleep on the hospital chairs and I just cried I couldn't go to sleep thinking about him. He opened his eyes and looked at me.

"Baby don't cry. I love you so much that I had to take the bullet for you. If I didn't then I wouldn't of stood in front of you. Please stop crying over me I'm okay."

He pulled me into a hug and I cried on his shoulder. He pulled away and kissed me passionately. I smiled and he hugged me one more time.

"Can you go tell the doctors that I'm up?

I just nodded and walked out.I talked to a doctor and he came into the room.

"Well since your up we bandaged your arm. We have to do tests then you should be able to go. I'm glad it only grazed your arm. You passed out from the amount of blood loss and when you saw the blood. Drink lots of water and change the bandage every 6 hours."

"Thanks doc." I said.

"No problem."

Then he left the room. I sat in a chair and looked at my leg. It was my fault that he is in the hospital. Just because of Andre. I seen a drop of water on my pants then I noticed I was crying again.

"Baby what did I say. Stop crying. Come here." Chandler said looking to me.

I got up and went to his bed. He wiped the tears off my face and hugged me again.

"It's my fault you are in here."

"No it's not baby. Stop saying that. I don't know if it's a bad time but."

He pulled a black box from under his pillow.

"What I'm saying is will you marry me Daquan Smith?" He asked which made me cry harder.

"Yes Yes." He smiled and kissed me. I pulled away and we smiled at each other.

"I was gonna do it a the park today but you know what happened." He said.

"Yeahhh."

I heard yawns so I looked at the chairs and seen all 3 of my kids looking at me.

"Daddy I had a crazy dream. We were getting kidnapped and you and pops came and saved us." Jacob said first.

"I did to. That's weird"

"I don't know anything." Latrelle said. He raised his little hands up and we laughed at him. Then the doctor came in.

"Well Mr.Grayson Your able to go home."

Then he left. I left the room with the kids and let Chan get dressed. Moments later he came and we left the hospital. Everyone was sleep in the car except me since I was driving. I put the kids in their bed and played down next to Chandler. I put my head on his chest and he put his arm around me.

The Next Day

It was a Friday morning which was the last day of school for the kids. They did their hygiene, ate breakfast, and got dressed. After they got ready Mani came running to me.

"Daddy I forgot but yesterday I told my teacher that you would come to my school and help out." She said.

"Really Armani Smith?" I sighed.

I ran to my room and put on some Harlem jeans, A grey t-shirt, and my timberlands. I got Trelle dressed in something simple. Jean shorts, a white hustle gang shirt, and some white vans. I brushed his hair into his afro and kissed Chandler bye. I jumped in the car and JJ buckled Trelle in for me. I drove down the street and we all got out.

He ran into his classroom and I put a sleeping Trelle on my shoulder. Mani grabbed my hand and pulled me into her class.

"You have to meet Mrs. Williams."

"I'm glad you could make it Mr.Smith." Her teacher came over and said to me.

"I'm glad to be here to help out."

"Can you help me with the plates to pass out to the children?" She asked. I nodded my head and passed them out with latrelle still on my shoulder.

I passed out the plates to the kids and I heard Armani and her friends talking.

???- "Armani your brother is so cute."

???#2- "Girl he don't want you. He want me I Seen how he was looking at me."

Mani- "Jacob Junior is not cute girls. What y'all see."

???- "Cuteness." (Dramatically falls with her hand on her heart)

I shook my head and went back to Mrs. Williams. Latrelle finally woke up and went over to his sister while I was talking to Mrs.Williams.

"She had great grades this year Mr.Smith. All A's and a B. She's a smart girl." She said glancing over to Armani talking to her friends.

"Yes I know"

We continued to talk then the school day was over. We met up with JJ and all 3 of them had lots of candy,chips, soda, and cards.

"Latrelle what's on your face?" I asked him

"My friend Abrianna and Crystal kissed him on his cheek." Armani giggled.

"Ladies love me." Trelle smiled.

"Haha. Were Those the girls that were talking about Jay?" I asked her and she nodded.

"What about me?" Jay asked.

"My friends like you."

"What can I say. I'm SEXY."

I just shook my head laughing. I drove home and I was exhausted I tell you. I was resting my eyes until Trelle came running up to me.

"Daddy I'm sweepy." He said rubbing his eyes with his cover in his hands.

"Come up here with me pookie."

He got on the couch with me and fell asleep. I was just about to go as well but Jay and Armani came in the living room.

"Daddy, can we have some ice cream?" They asked at the same time.

"Be quiet your brother is asleep. And Did y'all practice that?"

"We do it all the time. So we are used to it but can we?"

"No. Y'all just came from parties." I told them and they smacked their lips and walked away..

I closed my eyes one more time but they opened when Chandler sat on me.

"Get up baby."He said.

"s**t I can't get no f*****g sleep in this household." I said rolling my eyes.

"No you can't."

"Where is Mani and Jay?"

"They came crying to me saying you said they can't have ice cream so I told them to go to their room and they fell asleep there."

"Oh Okay. I'm going to put Trelle down and I'll be back."

"Ight."

He sat on the couch and I put Trelle in his bed. I went back downstairs and grabbed some snacks for me and My Bae. We watched Madea Neighboors from Hell. I tell you that movie is funny ass f**k. Chandler and I finally had some alone time. I looked at the clock and seen it was 10:39 p.m. I yawned and all I remember was going to sleep.
