For a few minutes, we were back in that moonlight forest, swaying among the fairies, just the two of us. This time my feet did not hurt, and I knew the steps well. I gave a small jump when he lifted me to spin, and the cheering crowd cleared a little to give us more room. Talon sat me down and the music faded. Our smiles, however, did not. Talon dipped his head as I raised mine. Our lips brushed, and I pulled back in surprise. I tripped, in my panic, I threw out my hand to catch myself.
