I couldn’t do it, I just couldn’t. No matter how much I tried, I couldn’t concentrate on my work. My thoughts kept drifting to her and staying here. I’ve never been so distracted in my life. I’ve never had trouble staying focused on the work in front of me.
My brothers, mostly Apollo, always teased me that not even a naked woman would be able to pull my eyes off my work. I never found it as funny as he did, but it didn’t matter. Now I realize that was very wrong. The issue was that it would need to be the right woman, my fated mate.
Akia has overwhelmed my senses, and I haven’t known her for long. If I’m like this now, I’m going to be lost when we finalize our bond. Maybe I need to rethink taking over the pack because I’m not sure if I can handle it.
