The presentation lasted almost an hour. Everyone in the hall applauded and gave a thumbs up. They all seemed satisfied with the new technology.
Charles also clapped but he didn’t lift his head. There was a faint smile on his face but it looked so cold.
Abigail stared at him, trying to figure out what he was thinking. She wondered how he could be so indifferent after sending so many apology messages to her. Shouldn’t he try to talk to her? Judging by his appearance, she thought he didn’t intend to talk to her. Were those apologies all fake? Or was he mad at her?
“Hey, beautiful. That was great.” Aidan gave her a lateral hug, placing his hands across her shoulder.
She came out of her trance and lowered her head immediately. “Thank you.” She mustered a smile.
